Cpt_Lemi
After a skirmish last week, I decided to "update" my SOCOM's paint job. I had initially had a burlap cloth around the barrel, but It didn't work out nearly as well as I had hoped... here's the new version They're not the best pictures in the world, but it seems to work really well in the Pine Tree infested area I play
Handsome Pete
Awesome paint job bud. Im not a lover of cut donw m14's (standard full size for teh win!) but that would sway me.
Cpt_Lemi
almost exactly why I did it... the SOCOM was a Christmas present, my mother didn't realize the difference between the wood stock, and the socom... bless her soul... but I can't complain, gifts are gifts , I think I might buy the extension for the barrel, but I haven't the cash yet... ty though for the comment! pfcstoner
would the TM shorter barrel work on G&G model m14's?
TheAverageAsian
Tread Jack! I was wondering what the measurment are for m14 mag? (both in. and cm. is fine) Thanks in advance. The measurments for the m16 mags won't hurt either. (Have both in my hands, but not a ruler in sight, need the specs for a report).
StarMonkee
Your probably all gonna hate me for doing this to my Socom but meh each to there own I say VFC M14 RAS and VFC bipod stud Still a few things I need to add to her such as a Harris bipod, M3 scope, full internal upgrade, full length M14 6.04mm inner barrel and a QD silencer set to cover the excess inner barrel. She'll be a right beauty when am done
Stealth Sniper
nice paint job mate
StarMonkee
Cheers. Its rubbing off on the metal areas giving it a nice beaten look. Still debating on with scope I should get I do want an M3 but I've seen some other nice scopes out there.
Cpt_Lemi
aye aye, here's to painting socoms!! I like it very much!
t_wad
Is it hard to install the bipod stud? I'm thinking about putting a bipod on my m14
StarMonkee
Its quite simple. You take the front sight and gas block off, pop the trigger guard off. Part the upper half from the stock enough to get to the hole. Place the nut section in place then tighten the stud into place then pop it back together.
RaboonTheBaboon
So simple infact that you can forget the first two parts - just yank the trigger guard away from the receiver and slide the receiver forwards and away from the stock It different on a Soc maybe?
1cem4n
exactly the same.
StarMonkee
So simple infact that you can forget the first two parts - just yank the trigger guard away from the receiver and slide the receiver forwards and away from the stock It different on a Soc maybe? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No I didn't my wording was just different You take the front sight and gas block off, pop the trigger guard off. NickN
Is the castle nut on the flash hider/front sight supposed to be hellishly hard to put on? On my new AGM M14, I can only get it about halfway before it just won't go any further. The flash hider/sight is wobbling like crazy.
M14
On a real M14 and some airsoft M14 flash hiders, there is a small screw at the bottom of the front sight post that can tighten into the castle nut to stop it from spinning and wiggling. If youres doesnt have that, just use pliers or castle nut pliers to get it on as much as possible.
Chrissyg
EOL, I am not aroused by those pictures.
