cougar
Thanx guys! Glad you liked it! Here is a pic from a little distance. The job isn't that hard but it takes some time to do. First you want to protect all the areas that you dont want any paint on. Then the fun.... I started off by spray painting the whole weapon in HS marsh-grass, olive drab and EC mud brown. I then started to "work" (with paint remover) all the areas that should have a natural kind of "used look", For example the parts you regulary use to operate the rifle, such as: Trigger. Grips. Stock. Buttons and wheels (Scope/EOtech). Bipods. Charginghandle with feuters. And so on..... Then I started working all the areas that "take damage" from normal use. You know by draging the rifle as you crouch or perhaps touching other objects with the rifle. (Hope you understand). All those areas are the ones with sharp edges. Like this: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a340/ossg/PICT4362-1.jpg Work the rifle over and over with the remover, spary more paint of a specific color if you want to ad some more of that specific color if you should remove a little to much of that color. Work it, work it over and over again...... just continue until you are 100% satisfied! Good luck! Sry for my bad english, hope you understand.

Delta14
Would you mind giving me a parts list for your M14? I was thinking about doing something like that with my M14 now I'm sure I will.
Cam Keo SOC16
Man, that's one nice setup, good job mate. I'm buying another M14 soon. Although I can't really discuss the plans on this forum, but lets just say it's going to be a hard hitter

Cam Keo SOC16
I know that as far as the G&Gs go, you can put the SOC16 on the full size and verse visa.
BP-anon
Would someone mind measuring (and, possibly, posting a pic) of the maximum length barrel that will fit in a G&G soc16?
cougar
Would you mind giving me a parts list for your M14? I was thinking about doing something like that with my M14 now I'm sure I will. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If its my external partlist you want, here we go. TM M14 OD. Guarder M14 RAS. King Arms M3 scope. EOtech 512. G&P M6 RAS tactical light. G&P RAS tctical laser. King Arms DC QD silencer. King Arms spring return bipods + mount. I think thats it. It will soon become a EBR with a few extras added. I will post new pics then. Just ask me if you have any Qs! good luck! Edited September 17, 2007 by cougar

cougar
me and my dealer had some problem finding a G&P EBR kit. I wanted a short one and I had hoped that the dealers in HK that my SWE dealer order from, should have had the NAVY version. A SEAL EBR is soooo nice. Any way, my dealer said that it was out of stock. but he was nice and ordered both a black short-model and also the NAVY version. He said that maybe, just maybe they got the NAVY version instock just in time to ship it for me. And with a ton of bowflage..... the black version is ok also. So...., its a fun time waiting on the EBR to see what EBR it finally will be in my hands..... or NOT!

Miker
Grip? or no grip?
luvs2shoot
no grip. and wouldn't the grip be a little bit too far up on the rifle. i mean you would probably need to fully extend your arm in order to actually grip the gun with both hands idk. that's what i think. no grip
Milla
On the M14 SOCOMs or SOC 16's the flash hider is not removable correct?
dstrctn
I cant see using a foregrip like that on an M14 as comfortable. Milla: The flashhider on my cousins M14 Socom was removeable (I removed it for him.)
