Matt0311
Joe, why are you selling it anyway? And i think they were PMCs, or something similar.
Hawk281
are you making a SAM kit? please do, so i dont have to! -Joe I am, West Coast SAM-R though. I can't justify any magnification over 4x for airsoft. I plan to just use a Gripod because a Harris isn't really in the cards right now. EDIT: Hopefully by early next week I will have more gear for the OTV. Pics will come then. EDIT MK2: Damn, that was a nice truck too.
masakarijoe
i just got a 1 point sling. honestly, i like the 3 pointer a tad more (feels more secure, as my rifle is havy as hell) but i wanted something with a fastex buckle attatchment. i like being able to quickly unclip the rifle without having to remove the sling from my body. if they only made one with fastex clips on either end... hawk: you can try that new T-Pod grip... looks cool. -Joe
Matt0311
Yeah the SAM-R is heavy. I might put up some pics of my IBA and SAM-R and M9 later on this week. But yeah, it's an awesome rifle. You'll definetly like the flip sights, and the body, even though it isn't realistic.
Hawk281
Would an FN A4 receiver be acceptable for SAM-R base. I'm converting my A4 over as opposed to buying another G&P.
Matt0311
I wish someone made a replica of that sight. I would buy it. Wait does someone make a replica of that? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:INDIA5.jpg EDIT: Hawk281, i don't know about that... Look in here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SAM-R
MERCILESSPIT
That's an ITL MARS reflex sight and I've been watching and waiting on a replica of that to come but nothing yet that I know of.
Matt0311
Same here, if someone DID make a replica, they'd be making money for sure. But i hope some company is working on making one, because i am waiting. How much are the real deal? Or do they not sale to civilians?
masakarijoe
the same company that made that new galil (TDI armories i think?) is making a MARS. i emailed them for info, they never responded hawk: generally, SAM-Rs have M16A3 lowers i believe. i know that they have FA, not burst, but im not sure what reciever is most common. -Joe
spartan490
I had the opportunity to buy a MARS last week, but at $1500 it was a little too much. Would a DM have a similar set up to a regular grunt?
masakarijoe
yes and no. remember, a DM is NOT the same as a SAM. a SAM uses a 5.56 rifle (M16A4, SAM-R, MK12), a DM uses a 7.62 rifle (M14, MK11) similar setups though. and $1500... yeah, i wouldnt do that. hell no. by the way... http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=4005 -Joe
spartan490
Yah I meant a SAM. As for the MARS, I don't really like the way the look, but to each his own. They retail $1200 new, but are unavailable to civilians due to the IR laser and are hard to find used. Thats why he was charging so much. Still a little high though.
masakarijoe
nothing in airsoft is worth $1500... unless it is for a real rifle, PASS. thats why i use G&P acogs. i think my spartan II is the most expensive piece of gear i own (aside from my LWH, but i didnt pay much for that at all ) and i got it because it is just THAT cool, and there is no other option... i would LOVE a MARS replica though for my SAW... -Joe
spartan490
Well I wouldn't have bought it for my airsoft gun. All the real steel accessories I get spend half their time on my AR15. My RCO for instance will probably spend 90% of the time on my AR and only come off for airsoft games.
UrPeaceKeeper
EDIT MK2: Damn, that was a nice truck too. I can imagine that phone call to Ford Road Side Service -This is Ford Road Side Service, how may we help you? -Yeah my truck just got hit by an IED -Did you call the police to fill out an accident report? -Lady I dont think you heard me, we just got hit with an IED! -You are going to have to fill out paper work for the warranty and anything for insurance! -Lady, your hopeless. -Thank you have a nice day! *Click* Yeah.... Gameday... woo
Fatal
I don't know if they were PMC's or something else, I know they were british had huge beards and did alot of night missions. They had about 5 of those pick-ups and 2 suburban's with turrets on the top. They also have about 4 inches of bullet proof glass, and the doors weight a ton, they have armor underneath the panel. So it isn't your average, F350, but back on topic.
