quiksilver6184
KSC System 7 USP .45 with a SD slide and barrel set.
RacingManiac
Has anyone managed to fit a RS Meprolight night sight for their KSC USP Tactical? I've heard that KSC USP can indeed take RS Sight and I am wondering is someone has tried..
wwjkc
RM, the front sight is no problem, don't know about the rear Save $$ for the some steel slides, enough soft aluminum slides for me RA Tech slide/barrel installed
ACOG
sexy usp, nice slide.
Horsem4n
but ratech slides are sooooooo expensive... i could have 2 KWAs for the price of one ratech slide. or a bunch of mags. but they are so nice...
jesTer
My KSC USP .45 (non System 7) doesn't fire if I manually pull the hammer back (it acts like there's no mag in the gun), is this what everybody experiences? I don't think too much about it because it has been like that since I got it. Am curious though. The SD and RA-Tech slides sure are nice, do they require a lot of work to fit? Pkekyo-Nor
You're going to have to rack the slide first. Then you can decock the hammer and manually put the hammer back as you please (although I see no reason to...)
jesTer
You're going to have to rack the slide first. Then you can decock the hammer and manually put the hammer back as you please (although I see no reason to...) Different from the P226 then, where I can just pull back the hammer to cock the pistol. Is this the difference between DAO and DA/SA triggers?
RacingManiac
The striker reset doesn't function if you just cock the hammer, its reset by moving slide...
Horsem4n
yeah, the valve knocker doesnt reset unless one of the pins that interacts with the slide is pushed down.
noid
My wish is my command.... Shooters design CNC'd slide with ali outer barrel. Trades filled - correctly - as per RS reference: http://www.hk-usa.com/usp_general.asp Shame it's not the Japanese version (H&K trades r/h) but I just couldn't hold on any longer. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/pbr/.../KSCUSP45-a.jpg[/img] http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/pbr/.../KSCUSP45-b.jpg[/img] http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/pbr/.../KSCUSP45-c.jpg[/img] http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/pbr/.../KSCUSP45-d.jpg[/img] Vary nice, Where/how did you get the case, i've been looking for one of them for my USPc for ages but haven't been able to find any one willing to post to the UK, also is that custom foam as well? blarock86
To the people with an KSC USP Match: The silver slide, is this made specially for the usp match, or does the USP .45 (system7) version also work?
RacingManiac
The slide should be interchangable with other USP. The barrel maynot, since the inner barrel is shorter on the normal USP, the match long barrel will not support the normal inner barrel properly...
Ivan le Fou
Last pics of my USP compact. Have to sell it in order to compensate the money I lost when I paid for a DSR1 (but the seller was a fake and vanished with my money...). Enjoy!
RUSHER2
Is there a Traded lower for a system 7 lower? and is there a USP match comp with trades on it yet? i got a match but got the KWA one ;[ i got it in a trade and i want full trades on my usp.
MODDAN
My KSC USP MATCH has full trademarks on the frame and on the comp., as does my KSC USP Tactical. Bought it here. But you live in tha USA, so you can't has cheeseburger.
hwagan
That thing is beautiful. Here's mine - KSC Metal slided Tan Frame .45, KWA ABS slided trademarked USPC; I've since added some artificial wear to the raised edges of the slide on the .45, makes it look a lot more real.. I'll try and get some new pictures this evening. The Tan frame is actually a lot less shiney and beige in person, camera flash strikes again. Ever since i first handled a friend's USPC, i've been totally converted from the 1911's i used to use. Much better ergonomics, function, looks, capacity, reliability... they're just better, in every way.
Retro-Cow
What exactly is the difference between KSC's Japanese Version of the USP as opposed to their other USP?
Cosmitz
Between Japanese and Taiwan? It's been discussed. Taiwan has a metal slide, a bit looser Quality Control and a supposed higher flow valve. The Japanese version has a plastic slide, but correct trades and in all the right places, higher Quality Control (though i still get leaky Japan mags out of the box) and a supposed gimped valve. trdsupragt
Nothing too special. Just a KSC USP Compact (non Sys-7 with a Sys-7 slide) I\'m looking to paint the slide black. What do you guys think? Edited February 2, 2010 by trdsupragt
hwagan
Personally i quite like the 2 tone look, stands out a little from the rest - I'd say keep it the same, but it's your gun Also, my USP above is the KSC alloy slide S7 version; A friend has just recently picked up the same pistol in Black from the same store, but his one has some kind of 2 stage recoil spring - Basically, towards the rear and underneath the main recoil spring is a secondary spring about an inch long - Does anyone know what this is for, and why mine doesn't have it? It doesn't seem to affect the performance at all, i'm just curious.
RacingManiac
I thought all the S7 version should have it, You sure yours a System 7?
hwagan
Pretty certain - S7 system sticker on the box, takes S7 magazines (tested me friend's mag in mine and worked perfectly, and both my magazines work fine in his). Anyone got a picture of the BBU i can compare mine to? Failing that i'll get a picture of the guts of mine up here tonight to see if anyone can tell. It seems the only difference is the recoil spring... how odd. Perhaps it's a very early run of the S7 and the recoil spring was added to later models?
trdsupragt
My USP (sys 7) doesn't seem to have what you're talking about. It's just the conventional recoil spring system. Though I picked mine up around maybe June of last year.
Genome
Anyone know where I can pick up some KSC/KWA magazines? the old type seems like they are ancient now.
