My KSC USP .45 (non System 7) doesn't fire if I manually pull the hammer back (it acts like there's no mag in the gun), is this what everybody experiences? I don't think too much about it because it has been like that since I got it.

Am curious though. :)

The SD and RA-Tech slides sure are nice, do they require a lot of work to fit?

You're going to have to rack the slide first.

Then you can decock the hammer and manually put the hammer back as you please (although I see no reason to...)

Different from the P226 then, where I can just pull back the hammer to cock the pistol. Is this the difference between DAO and DA/SA triggers?

My wish is my command.... :D

Shooters design CNC'd slide with ali outer barrel. Trades filled - correctly - as per RS reference:

Shame it's not the Japanese version (H&K trades r/h) but I just couldn't hold on any longer. :P

Where/how did you get the case, i've been looking for one of them for my USPc for ages but haven't been able to find any one willing to post to the UK, also is that custom foam as well?

That thing is beautiful. Here's mine - KSC Metal slided Tan Frame .45, KWA ABS slided trademarked USPC; I've since added some artificial wear to the raised edges of the slide on the .45, makes it look a lot more real.. I'll try and get some new pictures this evening.

The Tan frame is actually a lot less shiney and beige in person, camera flash strikes again. Ever since i first handled a friend's USPC, i've been totally converted from the 1911's i used to use. Much better ergonomics, function, looks, capacity, reliability... they're just better, in every way.

Between Japanese and Taiwan? It's been discussed. Taiwan has a metal slide, a bit looser Quality Control and a supposed higher flow valve. The Japanese version has a plastic slide, but correct trades and in all the right places, higher Quality Control (though i still get leaky Japan mags out of the box) and a supposed gimped valve.

Personally i quite like the 2 tone look, stands out a little from the rest - I'd say keep it the same, but it's your gun ;)

Also, my USP above is the KSC alloy slide S7 version; A friend has just recently picked up the same pistol in Black from the same store, but his one has some kind of 2 stage recoil spring - Basically, towards the rear and underneath the main recoil spring is a secondary spring about an inch long - Does anyone know what this is for, and why mine doesn't have it? It doesn't seem to affect the performance at all, i'm just curious.

Pretty certain - S7 system sticker on the box, takes S7 magazines (tested me friend's mag in mine and worked perfectly, and both my magazines work fine in his). Anyone got a picture of the BBU i can compare mine to? Failing that i'll get a picture of the guts of mine up here tonight to see if anyone can tell. It seems the only difference is the recoil spring... how odd. Perhaps it's a very early run of the S7 and the recoil spring was added to later models?
