At some point I have to consider throwing money at RC to make me a beautiful GITS rifle....

I'm 150 quid away from a KJW 10/22 based sniper rifle. I could theoretically source a 10/22 and a tightbore now and just wait for more money to buy a Muzzelite stock and M16 scope mount.

Yeah, regular Marui type STANAG mags. At the moment these are both springers, waiting to be rebuilt to AEGs.

Springer version and AEG version are almost all identical, so I think it'll turn out rather easy...

As for internals, they are compatible with regular V2 internals.

Jupp, there are only a couple of minor things that differs from the AEG versions of the same guns. So yeah, It seems to be very "doable" :)

EDIT: I wrote this conclusion on another forum if you're interested!

A couple of notes for you who might try this:

1. The most "back" sprint holding the gearbox is not included with the springer version. The "buffer piece" screwed to the spring guide however, is included. So either just leave it as it is (which I suppose would be good enough) or find a matching sprint.

2. The hopunit seems to be a little bit too long where the nozzle meets. Does not flex when gearbox is installed, though I guess a little filing on the hopunit would solve that problem. Haven't tried yet as I haven't yet bought a file...

3. The motor end plate has just a hole. No threads in the springer version. Either you make threads yourself or change the motor plate. I've ordered a M4 type motor end plate to see if it can be modified. Otherwise I guess you could fill the hole with something, make sure that the motor is shimmed enough

Well, the trigger is a two-stage type of thing. When the hammer returns after firing, it trips an actuator which tips the sear upward, thus blocking the hammer from cycling again. What I did was file off the part of the actuator that the hammer hits, so the sear is always in the downward "ready to fire" position.

Let's try something rare and special at the same time. Round of applause for the one telling the model number and/or "nickname".

I always preferred the 635's fore-end tho.

Planning on building a 'modernised' one but finding the right upper to convert is a pain.

Integrally suppressed KJW MK1. I downed the hammer spring to limit gas flow and quiet it down even more, still shoots about 320 FPS. It is at least as quiet as a TM MK23 but not as accurate, in my opinion this being much more compact make up for the loss in accuraccy and since I run .30g BBs in all my guns its as accurate as it needs to be.

the mk1 uses a rubber patch hop like the tanaka style. Shot to shot consistency isn't too great over long distances, upto 40ft it is fine for elective shots. You can try and put additional barrel supports in but the barrel return spring is not that strong and supports add friction which soon overwhelms the spring.

The short sight radius on mine is an issue for distance shooting but not for close work.

I added a bushing inside the outer barrel/silencer, The inner is about as fixed as possible without causing friction and loading issues. The light hammer spring decreases trigger pull weight but not the distance. Trigger pull length is almost a non issue for accuracy, I just pull it all the way back and hold just before it breaks, then aim and finish the lst few hundredts of an inch. I think the problem is the crappy rubber used in the hop up, and partially its design. Set screw based designs have been a bane of mine since the VFC M82A1, and several classic guns with Escort style hop-ups. I haven't had any issues with the short sight radius, my real steel concealed carry piston has a similar sight setup and I go to the range regularly with it. Its more likely that the inaccuracy is just a fault in the hop-up, I may replace it with a modified bucking eventually but for now I'm just going to use it up very close, and maybe at a few night games.
