Is the Firefox compatible with the Binatone MR600 series?

I'm afraid I've only ever owned them so I can't compare the connectors with other systems to make an educated guess and I have no idea of the industry standard.

If I've missed Binatone on the compatibility page for some reason then I apologise.

Hi Corporate_Black_Ops

The Binatone range of radios will work with the Firefox range of throat mics

But there is a but the ptt button on the throat mic will not work

Firefox as yet to get that option working

The ptt on the radio and vox we are told will still work though

Hi

It looks like some configuration within the Binatone radios?

Do you have a headset for your Binatone radios with a ptt on it

We cant seem to find any headsets for the Binatone radios we can copy the pinouts from

We have found a few headsets for Binatone radios but they have no ptt

I think the tech ppl at firefox are still trying though

Mark

Is it just a question of a splitter or something or is it some odd configuration within the Binatone radios?

Looks like I'm waiting for the next version  :(

No, I have the ones they came with but that's all. I guess that Binatone intended a remote PTT simply because there's a socket that isn't used by the standard headset - but I've never seen a remote PTT directly associated with the sets.

Thanks for the information, I'll check back every now and then to see if they've cracked it (either that or I'll splash out and buy radios they are compatible with :D )

I have a BT Freeway radio, it has a 2.5mm and a 3.5mm set of jack sockets.

Are any of the firefox throat mics compatible with this system??

(I've had a quick peek and can't see it mentioned anywhere)

Cheers, Rob.

Hi

No luck as yet

We have sent firefox a set of binatone radios for testing

But at the moment there is no means of external PTT keying as far as I can see. As soon as you insert an external microphone the set activates its VOX setting which can’t be overridden.

It doesn’t look like there are any hidden menus on this one-trying to hold down any keys whilst powering up results in the set not switching on.

Binatone are not being helpful either

Mark

P.S If anybody has info on binatone radios working with headet with a PTT let us know

Hello.

I have a "oregon" radio set. It has a single hole for a headset, of the same size computers have for a headset.

Will you mics work with this, espically the PTT.

Thanks.

Hi

I have just checked Oregon Scientifics website

All the current models use a single pin 2.5mm / 1 1/2 inch long / 3 pole connector

Which looks like its based on the motorola pin

Looking at what is see FireFox throat mics should work ok

Dont quote me on it though

Mark

P.S

Contact me if you would like to trail a throat mic for us

We would have to take a deposit but if it does not work you could just return it to us for a refund

That radio must have a strange output

Mark

Hi, would you please be able to tell me if the FireFox throat mics (specifically the Commando version) would be fully/party compatible with an Oregon Scientific TP329?

Any help appreciated.

Cheer's,

Paul
