double_a
No it shouldn't be loose. Does your trigger group look like this? If it does, that's your problem.
steaktipz
I do have that gap, but I just looked at it again and the rail that slots into the upper reciever doesn't mesh very tightly with the upper reciever. I'm guessing this is the problem? Because the two parts of the trigger box aren't moving, just the whole entire thing.
double_a
The trigger group is a little loose without the action being in the stock anyway, although, when the two parts of the trigger group no longer stay together, it's really hard, sometimes impossible to drop the hammer. I say this because I have the RA-Tech trigger box that is one piece and it totally fixes this problem. You trigger pin might be lose or coming out too, which can make the trigger hard to pull, but if you want a smooth, consistent, and positive trigger pull, you going to have to replace the two part trigger box with the one piece one. steaktipz
I was afraid of that. Thanks for the help!
DEVILHUNTER
Does anybody know if AEG operating rods (part 102 in WE exploded diagram) fits on the WE? Or where can I get original replacement parts? WE and RA-Tech haven't answered me ¬¬
steaktipz
I doubt AEG op rods would fit on an M14, much less be able to handle the stress. As for the trigger problem, I fixed it with duct tape. Just put a double layer of duct tape between the trigger pin and the inside of the stock, works like a charm. Thanks for the help everybody. steaktipz
I had the same problem. Couldn't get my orange painted one off, so I just hit it with some paint stripper.
ManMarin3
did they glue the castle nut for the flash hider? i can't take it out there is a little set screw on the underside holding the castle nut in if you haven't already removed that

akiraspeedstar
I fired one of my friends WE M14s and damn I want one, what are the common issues with this gun? From what I've seen so far it seems to be an eventual trigger housing issue, anything else that I'd need to change (either immediately or eventually)? Thanks guys. steaktipz
I'm not sure about others, but on mine the nozzle guides, the bar that connects the bolt and charging handle, the bolt catch, and the bolt cover broke through normal usage. I'd say don't buy one of these things unless you're prepared to spend a lot of time and a decent amount of $ getting it tuned properly. I've seen it done, but it does take some dedication. ManMarin3
Eh the M14 is easy to get tuned, tightbore, nineball hop rubber and your practically away laughing, the only other things i would get would be the RA tech trigger unit shell, the operating rod to bolt carrier bar (can;t remember part name at the moment), and the RA tech trigger pin. Just make sure you keep her lubed up properly with silicone grease on the parts where metal move past metal and you should be fine.

Wingmann
I used exclusively G&G 0.28 in mine.
double_a
I use .40 with my EBR and .28 with my scout. As for parts breaking....trigger group, nozzles, nozzle guides, bolt cover (still works fine though)....I think that's it. Some parts that others have mentioned breaking (bolt catch, op-rod to bolt bar) I already had the RA-Tech parts.
DrAlexanderTobacco
I'm thinking of getting one of these. £380 ONO, with NPAS, 5 leak-free mags, scope and scope mount. Good deal?
Jirvz
Has anyone had any experience with the Angry Gun 6.03 500mm barrel for this gun? Also is the PDI or Nineball bucking better? Right now I'm using a nineball but I just recently put a PDI bucking in one of my 5-7s and it shoots pretty straight so I'm wondering if this could provide the same effect. Thanks in advance! Wingmann
The Nineball works perfectly and it's a proven design, so I didn't see the need to experiment any further.
