frogfish Report post Posted August 25, 2010 (edited) If that's the plastic stock that looks fantastic.... I would like the see the info on the VSR barrel as well, I wonder how a TK hop-twist would work... Edited August 25, 2010 by frogfish
danielsilva Report post Posted August 25, 2010 (edited) In your pic showing the upper assembly of the rifle, the tappet appears to be bent downwards maybe from the bolt slamming into it. From the picture it might look that way but it is not. Since the tappet "free rides" and isn't really attached to anything, it's just hanging towards the floor ( 'cause the upper is slightly inclined for the picture ). heavri Report post Posted August 25, 2010 Can we finally have a real review? Thanks
ahadsz Report post Posted August 27, 2010 So, what upgrades do you guys suggest out of the box other then the NPAS kit when it releases? And what gas works well during the winter, like from 10c-50c? Need something around that but there both extremes of course.
harborne blue Report post Posted September 1, 2010 Anyone know when these will be in stock in the UK?
GaMeFrEAK1018 Report post Posted September 1, 2010 Are there any plans for Co2 magazines?
ahadsz Report post Posted September 1, 2010 Hopefully soon the co2 mags will be released, i still need to find out if its sniper ready
L4byr1nth Report post Posted September 1, 2010 I think Wolf Armouries might have them. If I were you though, I'd give Mark at Tactical Quartermaster a bell, and see when he'll be getting them in. Best service I've had so far by a long shot. Ben.

ahadsz Report post Posted September 3, 2010 (edited) Wow, accuracy sucks (stock), i may just get the ra-tech custom!! either that or skip on this rifle , wish it was better... Edited September 3, 2010 by ahadsz
LordElpus Report post Posted September 3, 2010 Wow, accuracy sucks (stock), i may just get the ra-tech custom!! either that or skip on this rifle , wish it was better... Had it been in a shooting range it would have been more useful as it takes the weather out of the equation.
ahadsz Report post Posted September 3, 2010 Yeah, I guess but its still not accurate enough, wish there was a way to make them more accurate? Wait is it possible to add a TBB to the gun (standard m14 size)?
frogfish Report post Posted September 3, 2010 (edited) Had it been in a shooting range it would have been more useful as it takes the weather out of the equation. Because a walled in courtyard (like a rifle range) and a warehouse don't take weather out of the equation? the fact that the results of test in the warehouse and the courtyard were similar I don't think weather was a factor in that accuracy. Reppyboyo Report post Posted September 3, 2010 A pretty good test by RA-tech: After seeing that might have to give their barrel and hop a go in my PDW.
ahadsz Report post Posted September 3, 2010 yeah it was way bad accuracy i think, thats not good if its long range, i bet the pdw would shoot better.
Trasher Report post Posted September 3, 2010 Had it been in a shooting range it would have been more useful as it takes the weather out of the equation. 30-40 meter range combined with .40s take most of the wind out of the equation...
ahadsz Report post Posted September 3, 2010 Yeah agreed with the guy above they were using highgrade and heavyweight bb's but still accuracy was bad.

harborne blue Report post Posted September 6, 2010 As I feared, it's another WE GBB that needs £100+ of parts adding before you've got a reliable skirmish-able gun. Looks great but I won't be getting one until they're as reliable and consistent as my AEGs.
L4byr1nth Report post Posted September 6, 2010 Which will be never... As they use gas. If you want to skirmish it, every GBB platform out there needs a load of cash dropped into it before you can. WE GBBR's are the most out of the box ready, being able to accept green gas and CO2 in stock form, and having some steel internals, etc. Ben.

I have to challenge that with the example of the KJ Works M4, it doesn't need a lot of cash dropped in and it works perfectly out of the box.
L4byr1nth Report post Posted September 6, 2010 What CAN you drop in it? Nobody makes parts for it The KJW is actually alright - I've seen one. Plastic as you like though. Ben.
DRAGON64 Report post Posted September 6, 2010 I have to challenge that with the example of the KJ Works M4, it doesn't need a lot of cash dropped in and it works perfectly out of the box. I will concur, I actually sold my KJW M4 to get the WE M14, and I sometimes regret the move, as the KJW was a straight shooter out of the box... But when the only replacement that we could get for metal upper receivers, that were breaking, was a plastic receiver, I choked and parted with mine. A 'hanger queen' I did not need... It ended up on EBAY after the buyer scarfed the hard to find mags (gosh I miss that rifle). But the M14 is a very nice piece of work. It is not that straight of a shooter out of the box, but a little work, and you can run and gun the open fields. If you want a DMR or a sniper however, you'll need to roll up your sleeves and tune it up. It is easy to maintain, and just plain feels good in your hands. Admittedly, the hop adjustment is a pain, but when you get it where you want it, the hop does a good job of holding the setting. On a side note, to help sooth the loss of my KJW M4, I bought a used SCAR and 9-magazines at a great price...
weekenny Report post Posted September 7, 2010 I've seen one. Plastic as you like though. It's metal in all the parts you'd expect on an airsoft M4
L4byr1nth Report post Posted September 7, 2010 It's metal in all the parts you'd expect on an airsoft M4 Not in this new age of 'Full Metal' airsoft guns it's not. Also, I found it to be very light, and I wasn't too sure on the finish. Ben.
