M.B.Mathiasen Report post Posted January 21, 2012 First off, a lot of the 2011 and beyond era HK416s and all the MR556 (US civi version) come with a plastic dustcover.. Really? I stand corrected then. I was sure that the HK416s had a metal dustcover, but that might just as well have been the earlier versions then
gijohn2 Report post Posted January 21, 2012 First off, a lot of the 2011 and beyond era HK416s and all the MR556 (US civi version) come with a plastic dustcover. Second off, there are only two major faults in regard to authenticity with the Iron Airsoft kit: (1.) The HK AF mark on the upper receiver should be white laser etch, not deeply engraved, (2.) like you mentioned, serial number does not begin as 88. It is annoying that the trades are not filled in from the factory, but it's fairly easy to do yourself and get the colors exactly right. I use crayon on my trades, Works well

freon Report post Posted January 27, 2012 Another question... what about the quality of the internals? I've read on some asian forums negatives comments about it at least on the M4A1. BCG breaks easily and need to be replaced, triger group is not hard enough and break and other issues. Thanks again! ah! and thanks for the pics! I had this problem with my VFC MK18 MOD1, also waiting for news on durability because I currently have 7 VFC GBB mags doing nothing in my closet.
DesertFox Report post Posted January 28, 2012 I thought someone on this forum got the new BCG for his old hk416 and reported that it has been holding up no problem. As for the pot metal internals it doesn't really matter as long as it doesn't break
Cosmitz Report post Posted January 28, 2012 (edited) I've done a test fire today at about 40 meters shooting 0,30's. It's not the most precise gun out there, but it's skirmishable. Full auto kept straight shots even on 8-9 bb bursts, and i felt minimal cooldown all through. This was done at about 20 degrees celsius. LE: The mag fits exactly 30 rounds, not 35. CoolHeart_ASN Report post Posted February 2, 2012 AFAIK, VFC is selling an all steel internals set (trigger and firing system) but don't know how good is it.
kullwarrior Report post Posted February 2, 2012 AFAIK, VFC is selling an all steel internals set (trigger and firing system) but don't know how good is it. I wonder if bolt carrier is also steel, steel trigger mech is useless without steel carrier.
bankz5152 Report post Posted February 2, 2012 See I really want to buy the VFC 417! Though ive heard nothing but bad things about the

_akira Report post Posted February 12, 2012 Hi, I saw this on eHobbyAsia, but for VFC M4 GBB Package with 35 Rounds Gas Operated Magazine (Also compatible with optional WA / Pro-Win M4 GBB Magazine with slightly modification) Is that true? Can be done with the VFC HK416???
hitmanNo2 Report post Posted February 12, 2012 I belive you have to remove a part and they work but I don't think the bolt catch will work when using WA mags though.

Amadem Report post Posted March 29, 2012 any news? Some good news for M4 users. VFC's selling new HK416 type bolt for $35 shipped. And the new metal made HK416 type HU chamber is for $10. BTW the HU chamber in Hk416 is same as VFC MP5.
