bankz5152
It does loosen up pressed mine at least ~140 times now (4000rds) and I can push it with my trigger finger with relative ease. As for the markings they are 'painted on' in an extremley good mannor.
bankz5152
Got my G39K conversion kit in today from Tokyo Model. Impressed though they sent me the wrong barrel!! Though ive dremmeled it a bit now it fits well!
plastik
they sent you the wrong barrel? What was wrong with the barrel and how were you able to make it fit? I'm recieving the g39k kit from Tokyo Model in a couple of days and hope it doesn't have the wrong barrel too....
Seraphim989
Check out airsoft panda for the longer versions. It came out at $250 shipped to the US for a K length, $205 pre-shipping
bankz5152
They sent a 400mm barrel instead of 340mm and had the wrong hop grooves. Fits fine now. Though I need to get an NPAS its currently shooting 365fps with 0.28gs @10C
raito
To those whose bolt stop is hard to release using the button, that happened to me before the bolt stop decided to split in half... before it was quite easy to release using the button...
mnmc10
on my g36 the bolt stop release is indeed hard to push. but after doing it a hundred of times its alot easier now. another option is to polish then lube the parts where there is friction.but i do prefer racking the charging handle back instead of pressing the tiny button. that way i put less stress to that tiny part an hopefully prolong that parts life. NonEx
I put some silicone lube on mine and it's a bit easier now. But as has been mentioned, with it being so hard to operate it feels like it is a part likely to fail due to pressure stress. Time will tell. I think i will stick with the bolt release method anyways. BTW, did RA Tech have spares/upgrade parts for the WE G39C ?
raito
i havent seen any upgrades in ratech yet, but airsoftbuddy have lotsa spares in their inventory, but only stock parts, no upgrade parts yet
NonEx
I actually meant for the bolt catch specifically. Did you find a replacement anywhere ?
raito
Airsoft buddy has them, its $3...

Short Stack
Any easy way to use a speed loader instead of the tube and stick one?
White_Rabbit
so now that you guys have had a while to fiddle and play with yours whats the findings with recomended upgrades ? could anyone put together a little recomended upgrades list ?
bankz5152
Only ones Id reccomend is the K length conversion. Other than that it doesnt need upgrades.
Horsem4n
too bad it's a G36. hope the new open bolt M4s, when they come out, are as good. Edited February 20, 2011 by Horsem4n

Panoptes
Skirmished my K on Saturday. Loved firing it but as I was vs a field of AEG users, I simply couldn't compete and felt I was outgunned most of the time. Think I'll take a raincheck on the WE L85 unless it's properly marked/accurately built.

NonEx
Any easy way to use a speed loader instead of the tube and stick one? Regular speedloader works fine. You just need to line it up with the mag lip and keep it firmyl in place. You need to keep the lip-attachment (shown in picture) on. Reppyboyo
really ? thought it may need a new hop rubber and nub and maybe a TB ? just cant decide between picking one of these up or a new AEG :s Only upgrade in mine is Firefly soft hop up rubber and a NPAS. Everything else is stock, great accuracy. Skirmished my K on Saturday. Loved firing it but as I was vs a field of AEG users, I simply couldn't compete and felt I was outgunned most of the time. Think I'll take a raincheck on the WE L85 unless it's properly marked/accurately built. I find that part is the most fun! Im the only GBBR user on my site and I find it a challenge to go against AEG spammers. I find the trigger response is a huge advantage over AEGs, especially in CQB. Also the noise tends to get people's heads down, on the flip side it also gives your position away.
bankz5152
@ Panoptes Really? I tend to be destroying the enemy with mine, greater range, better accuracy. Ive sold off all my AEGs now except my P90 as i simply dont use them. On upgrades id also suggest the NPAS as mine is running a bit hot at the moment, stricter sights wouldnt alow me to use it! The K kit comes with a TB and new Hop rubber. Also get an HNub to get rid of over hop and improve accuracy more so. It really does perform exellently as stock. In my time as an airsofter ive owned 150+ guns from AEGs - GBBs and shotguns though this is the only gun ive bought (except a couple smgs) that has immediately impressed me and requires no upgradeing. Buy one, you wont look back!
