I just came across this customer review for a TM detonics .45:

this gun goes so low fps i have a tsd sports silver m9 that goes 450 and costs 40$ never buy a tokyo mauri ever they are over priced and under powered

Looks like I made the wrong choice on my P226, maybe I'll sell it and get a TSD CO2 NBB instead. . .

One day I was shooting .28g bb with a gun that has a TM stock piston/spring set.

In CQB, a guy dodged most of the bb I shot in a 7-round burst(aimed perfectly) and only one hit his pinky.

Never underestimate the LOL that low fps will bring.

I did laugh at the quote form the review.

And I work in rertail ATM and have to say that mantra about the "customer is always right" is a complete farce. The customer is almost always: mistaken, ignorant and bleeding stupid.

Aye, this was something I was informaly told by a trainer when I began working at a contact centre. He decried it as a horrible Americanism and pointed out if the customer always was right then we obviously had a way of adding porn dialers to their computers in the setup software and it definitely wasn't their son/daughter/husband etc. The customer spends a large amount of time being wrong and only with careful training by the contact centre staff can they be helped to realise this and steered onto the path of, "not being a *rickroll* becuase you're not talking to them face to face".

Much like TM, once people accept that they are weapons made in Japan, for games in Japan and they really don't care too much about the overseas market, then they will be happy and at peace.

Until then we'll just have to sigh knowingly at the whiny bitches ;)

tm sucks lol

i have a tm desert eagle and its the best airsoft pistol by far

fps is overrated, if you don't know that than you haven't been playing long enough

tm might have low fps but their hop up and overall design is superior

+1 I agree I also have the DE .50 and it kicks @ss great hop up holds its setting for many many mags! And great accuracy strait out of the box, I don't dare to compare it with KSC G18 or KWA M9!!

This reminds me of when i had to explain to someone that yes their WE 1911A1 may be less than my TM 1911A1 and full metal but it doesn't make it better.

He soon learned when during a game (just by luck, not set up) he appeared about 7-8 metres behind me and tried to fire. All that happened was a large plume of gas and nothing came out the barrel. I promptly drew, snapped off a double tap and grinned at him. I decided to then use the fact that we were the last two players left and that was game point for my side to find out what had happened. It turns out that he thought to load his gun he only had to cock the hammer, not the slide hence why no bb had come out the business end. I still laugh about it to this day.

It is more the fact that people still to this day give me that 'a know it all eh' kind of look when i explain to them why they can only get 5 shots out of a WE 1911 before it de-gasses all over them.

Why do people still think full metal makes all the difference?

In the cold yes they do.

However TM aside companyies like KSC and KWA need the metal slide as i have seen a lot of issues with the plastic at vital parts shearing away when on Green Gas. Imagine a WE pistol that was made of plastic, thats like putting your faith in a religion founded on the internet.

I did say TM didn't I. I was quite clear on that point...:P

I have also used KCS plastic glocks on green in the summer, fully stocked with upgrades exept the slide. No problems over many many rounds.

I wouldn't touch a WE gun with a 10 foot pole and rubber gloves.

Just pointing it out to the other Arnies users :P

But you must have been lucky with the KSC Glocks, i tried a 18c on Ultra with plastic slide in spring / summer, even on semi the gun refused to empty a 23rd mag most of the time. That and my two Glock 26's both stopped working when the slide lock dug into the slide, snapped it and caused it to vent gas as it wasn't locked properly.

I've had fairly good luck with my KSC Glock 19... That said it's not up to the same level as a TM but for the price I paid it's a great performer. If only I had the money I would totally switch it up to a TM.

That said, with my KSC there are a lot of aesthetic defects but it performs great for what I need it for. The previous owner ran it on propane and I do the same as well and really there's no visible damage to the slide (except for exterior aesthetic defects like scratches but I'm sure there's tonnes of micro fractures in the plastic by now). I also actually get a full mags worth of gas (this is in spring/summer) I fire in semi (obviously... but I also give the mag time to warm back up so there's not too much cool down effect).

Most decent TM pistols are cheaper than a KSC Glock nowadays so it shouldn't be too hard to get enough cash together for one, sell the Glock 19 if you have to.
