Tom Andrews Posted November 3, 2010 Report Share Posted November 3, 2010 The spur gear (motor end) is a hispeed/low torque gear and benefits from bearings, it is under little strain except speed as long as the motor is not adjusted too tight. The other gears are under increasing amounts of torque and degreasing speed. There is little benefit in using bearings and a lot of sense to use bushes as they don't have a tendency to break up if the gearbox is jammed in any way (bb jam for instace) Link to post Share on other sites
