Post count stuck at 78?

I have in the last couple of months decided to be alot more regular on here but I have noticed something over the last week or so.

 

My post count on the left hand side has been stuck at 78 for ages now, my profile says I have 113 post (114 after this I think) but it isn't showing up at all. I know that some areas don't get included but most of my posts were in the projects or gear threads.

 

I am very confused. Is this at all normal?

 

EDIT: Oh wait it just went up, even more confused now.

 

EDIT AGAIN: found the sticky on the subject and it didn't help explain it really. Almost all my activity in the last week has been in gear or tech and the count didn't budge and inch until this post.Ah found the answer Gear section isn't included on the count either. Ok please delete as I have my answer.

Would it be more helpful if members had a list of areas which contribute towards the post count? I can get one produced at the weekend.

It would certainly have stopped me getting confused. I know the off topic and pics threads don't but I wasn't aware the entire gear section was a no count zone.
