Squeezee
RSOV is offering a new line of tactical gear called "Shark Gear". They claim it's 900D material and looks pretty good to me. It also has a nice pricetag (But then again, shipping from HK could be killer). I was just wondering if anyone here uses it or knows someone who does, since I'm really interested in getting some. I just want to make sure I'm not buying ###### first. Thanks!
usmc0621fro
I'm curious about this as well. I saw the Maritime CIRAS on there in Coyote that looks pretty nice and the price is decent.
Squeezee
I know, their prices are really nice. Who else charges $6 for an MBITR pouch and $5.49 for a flashbang pouch? I don't know if it's actually 900D material, but even if it's say, 600D, that's still a really good price in my book.
Johngol10
I had a similar question on another forum and this was the response: John' date=' you were asking about the quality of Shark Gear for their SPC. I ordered some stuff off RSOV and since they were cheap, added 3 Shark Gear pouches in CB. Quality and marksmanship seems pretty nice: no loose threads, what has to be parallel is, etc. But the color is quite a bit darker greenish than most issued gear I've seen. It's similar to Flyye, but even darker. Quality/price wise it's pretty nice though, and would I guess it would do the job in daylight. Just note they use 900D and not 1000D like Flyye or Pantac.[/quote']
Isamu
Got a grenade pouch (OD) to carry my radio, nice pouch, nice value. I still prefer Pantac due to personal reasons, but for a budget loadout its very good, much much better than the average ACM stuff. As said, colour is a bit dark, but i dont think people who think about getting a "budget" item care for such things
Squeezee
Thank you very much guys, I appreciate it. Nobody else I know seems to have even heard of this brand, nevermind own it .
Johngol10
No problem, you know us geardo's.
usmc0621fro
John would you mind posting a review of your SPC, or just PMing me about it. I am torn between the SPC and the CIRAS. I used to wear a CIRAS when I was in the Corps, but the SPC looks nice, and some of my buddies who are still in like them pretty well. It just looks like mounting pouches would be weird. Johngol10
Sorry man, I don't own one. I got the review from a friend on another forum. I'd honestly prefer a CIRAS over an SPC however, I'm sure the side SAPI's could get in the way, and I've tried a CIRAS before (It was APW's, Squeeze), and it seemed pretty comfortable. I think the stacked MOLLE is to make it easier to mount pouches, so you don't have to weave them between the pouch and the plate carrier. You could get one of your friends to let you try theirs, but besides that I have no experiences with SPC's. I could get you a review from another friend I have who owns one, but that's about it. All I got in USMC gear experience is an IBA and LWH.
HJA1512
Sorry for the bump but since it's been a while now since the last post I'm wondering if any more people have bought and used gear from Shark Gear? I'm about to order one of their CIRAS for a P90 loadout so any info regarding the CIRAS would be extra helpful.
