sacairsoftsn00py
Convertible outer barrel. Lol. To get the scar cqc look, you have to spend on a cave outer with the l...non cqc
akiraspeedstar
Perhaps it's a lower production model? *shrugs* doesn't the SCAR-H have some cnc parts?
Banshee_Will
tm set the price on 62.800 yen or 806 USD or 620 euro. i hope they gonne sell the lowers serperate. I had heard that the recce in tan was going to be more expensive than the SCAR-H but all I has was hearsay. Now people cast your eyes upon this: http://echigoya-guns.com/guns/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=432 $569 dollars! The black is on preorder and the tan comes out later...........
akiraspeedstar
Yup the black ships out in 6 days to my understanding, while the Tan doesn't come out till around the third week of January.
point_7
i have heard from tm that the uppers and lowers of the scar-H and L are not interchangeble to bad ;(
Shift
i have heard from tm that the uppers and lowers of the scar-H and L are not interchangeble to bad ;( It's been said before and it's for a totally legitimate reason. The real deal SCAR H upper receiver is slightly longer than the L's, most likely to better accommodate the larger caliber. I'm really on the fence on whether I want this or a VFC/ clone. I assume the magazine is totally proprietary?
Honzo
the mag is proprietary but thats not a good excuse to put the vfc over this! I've had the vfc and it left me with an unsatisfying feeling. the TM on the other hand....
zaimon
it is now available in echigoya. by seeing in their video. i still like my scar-l.
TK4235
The SCAR-H just looks too big and bulky to me.... I'm drawn to the CQC myself and yes I know you can screw the barrel off the H & L... i'd love to see a piccy of a H and CQC next to eachother though just to compare the dimensions..... also I didn't realise the H and L had different receiver dimensions.. real life I understand but in airsoft land
TK4235
Actually I do have a question, how does a SCAR compare to a SOPMOD in the field? Are they just as good as each other or is there a performance difference out of the box? Also is the gearbox is the same in both AEGS?
stewpidbear
The scar out of the box tends to have a higher fps, on average comes out doing 300fps compared to 280 for the sopmod. Personally for me I find the scar cqc more managable than the sopmod/socom (I have the sopmod and the scar cqc). Range is similar and accuracy is similar,.
point_7
my scar-l cqc did even 315 out of the box, but i have upgraded with prometheus sealing parts en spring it now does

Now that's good to know, this means shove in an eagle6 M100 and a quality TB and one is looking at at about 330-335fps perhaps even more..mmmm
Panoptes
Apparently Fire Support have the new recoil SCARs in stock: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/201290-firesupport-new-marui-recoil-aegs-in-stock-g36-custom-and-scar-l-cqc/ Or is that misleading? sacairsoftsn00py
My SOCOM was shooting up to 313 with the hop set for .20g bbs. I was using aonw .20g tracer rounds. My friends dads scar-l was shooting around the same velocity.

druid799
my socom shot 305 out of the box but the scar only had 287 avg Sounds like there's a fault with your Scar mate , the 5 I've come across have all been over 308fps . I'd say send/take it back to the retailer you had it from .

Panoptes
Well, they have to make a profit I guess and UK retailers are crucified when it comes to import fees/taxes...

Ah second hand , bummer . do you know if the previous owner 'tinkered' with it ? Unless there was a fault when they bought it new , my first thought is they've cracked it open and havn't put it back right .
Honzo
he said he never took it apart or tampered with the internals. he always ran it with an 8.4 I'm not sure where he got it from originally, he just said a local hobby store in the US. : /
