Handsome Pete
Have a stock Marui M1a1, done a few thousand rounds. Want to upgrade it to about 320ish with a descent rate of fire to compete with all the Gucci m4's out there. I figured I'll need the following: Spring (got one) Bushings: http://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/guarder-steel-bushing-v6-gearbox-p90thompson Will I need anything else? Would a tightbore make much difference? Also, My technical gearbox skills went as far as opening up a couple of version 2 boxes and not being able to close them. I understand the Thompson uses a version 6? Is there anyone competent with this type of mech box (UK based) willing to do the work for me for a small fee? Any help be much appreciated. Cheers. ED-SKaR
Its normally best to talk to people at your site, local knowlage and all that. If you get stuck I'll help you out, I've worked on P90s (v6) before.
harborne blue
It's a tricky beast to work on so I'd start with a tightbore, new hop rubber and 7.4v LIPO. That will up your fps, accuracy or ROF. Better still, do nothing. The stock gun is superb and if you want to keep up with Gucci M4s, get one of them?
Handsome Pete
Thanks for the advice. The tightbore/hop idea seems quite good. Did that with my TM M14 in the past and that rocked. I've got a 9.6v lying around but was told never to use that in other stock TM's, should I not use hat on a non upgraded TM? (bit of a noob question)
harborne blue
My personal experience with LiPo batts is that using a low end one like a 7.4v in a std gun is fine. I run a G&P M4, CYMA AKM, MP44 and VFC SCAR with these and none have a MOSFET fitted or anything done to the GB except a spring change on the ACM guns.
