The General
Nice review, thanks! The one thing that concerns me is the use of cardboard for the boxmag. What happens it it rains?
dave1
Nice all we need now is a proper feild report. To see how it performs in a Skirmish. How easy is it to adjust the hop up? Compared to Top M60 this is well priced.
A. Hawkins
You just have to open the top cover, the feed tray one your Gimpy and then you can adjust the hop up from above. Very easy. Edited February 13, 2011 by A. Hawkins
abbadon101
Nice review, thanks! The one thing that concerns me is the use of cardboard for the boxmag. What happens it it rains? Take out cardboard, carefully cover with gaffa tape, paint with PVA glue, replace new water proof cardboard. Fire Force
Would love a conversion kit to turn this thing into a proper FN MAG!
TheFull9
Has anyone discovered who actually makes this thing yet? We know VFC is doing the XCR, so I'm curious about this, might consider one once it's available here or in HK.

The cardboard box mag issue, you can either cover it up in duct tape, or get a real one that is wax coated and water just beads off. As for the FN mag, it looks close enough for this. All I need is a flash hider to complete it.

It's a wheel. Same place the M249 hop up is located. Lift up the feed cover and that's it. Very simple, very easy. I'll be using it this week in a skirmish, if I can get it soldered. When I put the buttstock on, it sliced some wires

MrM60
Bad news. This just happened. I was gently sliding on the stock and: Oh and then the charging handle: This piece ( hard to see ) Connects to this one, and it broke off. So now it can move freely and come off. WTF Echo 1. I am contacting them for replacements.
Fire Force
Pot metal! $700 gun!
Nasty_TheYankWelshOne
Wow, so those parts snapped fairly easily, huh?
Fire Force
P-p-p-pot metal. What do you expect?!
komplikation
If those parts were actually "pot metal", then they'd most likely have lasted longer. Pot metal =/= crappy metal...
MrM60
If those parts were actually "pot metal", then they'd most likely have lasted longer. Pot metal =/= crappy metal... I've always been taught that potmetal=crappy metal.
Fire Force
I thought pot metal was just the cheapest alloy, a bunch of crappy metal melted and die cast... am I wrong??!
MrM60
Anyways, to fix my gun, it will cost $150. Stock is $80 Charging handle is $25 and so is the wire harness. Poop.
abbadon101
My guess is that if the externals have broken this easily then the internals will be of a similar quality. I certainly don't think they will be able to take a LIPO without upgrading. The reason its a $700 gun is because its a one of a kind and they know they can get that much for it. The AEG was faulty so why not demand free replacement? Is there room for the battery in the body? Maybe buy a RS stock?

RS stock won't fit without lots of modification. I did demand a free replacement. Echo 1 hasn't gotten back to me yet.

Your issue was what made me switch to the (more expensive) UK supplier. If it's a dog, they'll be hearing from me!
Snowman1
How is it when you're running around with it?
MrM60
How is it when you're running around with it? Haven't got too yet. But it shouldn't be hard, since I run around with a SG Barrett M82A1.
Fire Force
Eh, that's quite a bit for something that has no function....
