Snigel
The only AK with a wire-folder I remember seeing in that movie was Jr's shorty, but that was gold-plated Hm, that would be nice
TheFull9
I had a play with a gold-plated under-folding 47 yesterday, that was a pretty.. 'dazzling' experience. Fnar.

kojak
Is that a buffer tube adapter for a side-folder? I'd like a different stock for my AK-105 and don't really know where to start.
aznriptide859
I had DFM56 make me one, but I'm not too fond of the mounting design.
The Crunchy Bunny
renegadecow, is that a SKS specific vented top-cover? Or is it a custom piece?
kojak
I was afraid it would turn out to be custom made. So when are you going to add a shortened MOE fore end?
aznriptide859
Haha I won't, it'll simply sport an AKS74U RIS.
Snigel
Wow, that's pretty cool!
Gunmane
Azn, for some odd reason, that reminds me of a aks-74u-like gun from some random fps I tried out years ago.

renegadecow
Please comrade, think of the youth! Read your sig! I hate children! Nah, this ones stopping at a scout scope on top and a leather cheek pad/pouch. My feet are starting to hurt with my VC loadout thanks to steel belted sandals. Thought I'd incorporate my carbine in my post-apocalyptic loadout especially since it's commonly top pic among survivalist boards. renegadecow, is that a SKS specific vented top-cover? Or is it a custom piece? Custom, copying the real one. But only because I'm too impatient to order one and wait just to see if it even fits. Made a mistake on this one though, the real ones have 4x10 holes whereas I done drilled 5x9. I figured the extra row centered on top makes for easier mounting for a rail (which is coming next). neoptolemus
There is a folding adapter made for the stamped AK series. I think there was one made by a company called SWAT Arms and then SRWW claims that TDI made one in collaboration with them.
The Crunchy Bunny
renegade, do you have a link to an real steel SKS vented top-cover?
renegadecow
renegade, do you have a link to an real steel SKS vented top-cover? Wait, top cover? That's the part holding the bolt carrier and I don't think they make those with holes. It's the handguard that's swiss cheesed: http://cgi.ebay.com/UAG-METAL-VENTED-HANDGUARD-PART-SKS-RIFLE-STOCK-/390302482466?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5adfd74022 And my scout carbine is done. Will be taking pics with the whole loadout later. *shoulda stepped back when taking the photo, fisheye makes my barrel look bent
The Crunchy Bunny
Yeah I meant handguard instead of top-cover. Your SKS looks great btw.

Ivan le Fou
Collapsible UBR?
skaos
thx guys, in this configuration the AKS74U is a very very comfortable gun @ Ivan le Fou: nope, it was weldered to the receiver, but I don't mind, I've almost never collapsed the original stock before
my_plague_666
thx guys, in this configuration the AKS74U is a very very comfortable gun @ Ivan le Fou: nope, it was weldered to the receiver, but I don't mind, I've almost never collapsed the original stock before any reason you didnt/couldnt weld it flush with the back of the receiver? it looks good, but i cant help it'd look more natural if it fitted flush. aznriptide859
Looks nice skaos - glad to see another Magpul'ed 74U out there .
Agent47
Can't you just get an X47 receiver and mate it with an AKSU front end to make a Magpul'd AKSU?
