HAY GUYS! I has AK too. Can I join?

Finnaly put my RPK together. Its a genuine Russian Molot from 1973.   I bought it as a complete gun, but due to laws i had to remove and trash the receiver, BCG and barrel.   But all the rest (70%

Depends on what I use it for :)

The GHK is really looking nice. But because of it's price it's more of a collectors item. The SRC is cheap, but reliable. It doesn't really matter, if it gets scratched up.

The WE is somewhat a bit of both. It is really looking nice and has a good performance. And the strongest recoil! I would probably use it for playing in woodland areas.

That WE is nice, I've been eyeing it, but the cost of mags has been putting me off, looks so nice though.

I looked at the left over body from my CM.035/Echo-1 CPM, and suddenly realized what to do with my JG Beta Spetz. A bit of cutting, drilling, and sanding, and the outer barrel was swapped with the CM.035's original. Then I found a piece of tube that makes a perfect mock gas tube, and hammered, cut, filed, and drilled a piece of sheetmetal bracing into an upper handguard, did some painting, and I had something new and sorta cool. I call it the AK74SBeta.

I think it looks pretty sick DanHS, nice work! Purist me damned, function IS form, even the Russians agree to that these days.

On that note, does anyone know where I can find myself one of those nifty extended slectors for my Dboys AK105? That would make the ergonomics of my AK almost bearable...

Pictures of mine to come soon, first I need to modify my AK47 RIS to fit it and figure out how the heck to get the flashider off so I can put my suppressor on.

These work well if you can press the rivets properly.

Going to try to see if it'll work on a GHK AKM....it should work on a AEG...

Installed the steel Samoon outer barrel, made the rifle even heavier....made me think of doing some weight reduction.....Changed some XTMs on the side to ladder rail cover with some minor stippling, this way the grip is also slimmer and more like M4's...But still trying to decide between AFG2 or just using a handstop...

Looks pretty good Racing, sleek and practical now, I vote for the AFG.

Steevo, I think those handguards are a little too worn, like they were supposed to go in the trash but someone realized they could actually sell them to a US importer. I'd try cleaning them up a bit so they look used, but not trashed, then I think the gun would look great.

And thanks guys for the compliments on the AKS74Beta, I know it looks goofy, but it works. I actually used it today instead of my AIMS, doesn't shoot as far or as hard of course, but worked pretty well.

And now after posting two ugly guns, I got something to make everyone vomit. A friend asked me to fix a supposedly highly upgraded CM.035 he bought, and he gave me a broken AK as thanks, it's some early CYMA potmetal AK47 model Echo-1 rebrand. The whole front end was snapped off, leaving just the piece with the hopup still fastened to the receiver. Top cover and grip gone as well, but gearbox and stock intact. So I spent an hour installing some parts lying around, and the thing actually shoots pretty decent. Needs work and a couple other parts, but I think it'll make a good loaner considering it's made from leftover junk and essentially was a free gun.

Eeew... those handguards look like they were left inside of a decaying body for a few weeks *barf*

Bayonet charge too hard; rifle went right through capitalist's guts; the handguard got lodged inside the dead body until days later when the rats ate away the flesh.

:D

I love how the gun looks, great work! If the gun is starting to get that much heavier why not use the standard length MI AK rail? By the looks of the position of your AFG and other accessories you don't need any of the rail space past the front sling loop.
