Candydad
Beautiful guns Hiawatha, really changing over to the Russians eh? Bloodsword, what sight are you using on the VSS? I got me a RS posp and it's not working really good on my LCT VSS :/
Bloodsword
Its a POSP too, you need to open the screws and remove the scope from the base that attaches to the receiver. Attach the base into the receiver (you might need a hammer for this) and then put the scope back again. Do you have an illuminated reticle? I removed the battery cover because it touches the top cover.
Candydad
Great tip, thanks!Zeroing will be alittle easier now atleast :/ Really hope to not have to go siderail + "normal" scope.
hiawatha
Haha not really, but no ar's for a while! All these new possibilities :/ And oh, the Madbull pbs when unattached to the base made one awesome flah/compensator
Bloodsword
Arent your scopes a tad too high? They aint near the irons, so you need to raise your cheek to an uncomfortable position?
hiawatha
Yupp the moe needs the highrise i would guess, that feels very high. The t1 actually works rather good with all the spacers removed but it is just temporary, im waiting on a t1 with low mount =)
FHairsoft1
That PBS! I have had one for awhile was thinking of selling it...not anymore hahaha Thanks!

hiawatha
Bloodsword: Have you made any major upgrades on your lct:s ? Took both out for a game yesterday, both performed great but the vfc felt a tad sharper, is the lct motors crappy? Also, almost everywhere the say lct chronos about 400fps, mine chronoed about 270 with .28, but thats good news for me so long this is normal
Bloodsword
Ive built most of my LCT`s around kits, but the ones I have with original gearboxes, can be commented with the following (models around -13/-14): - Good gbox shell, gears, piston, piston head, nozzle - No bigger issues, but if I`d change something, that would be the electronics (MOSFET + deans connectors), motor and spring (for woodland games maybe Systema M120 spring) - My RPK has also Madbull blue hop rubber in it, it hits pretty far with stock inner barrel (M130 spring) Later on I will be putting Lonex infinite torque motor and Systema M150 spring in my VSS, so we will see how it will work. My friend has same hard *albatross*-mods in his VAL, and it sometimes misfeeds, it got fixed with the gear delay chip.
hiawatha
Nice, ill keep this for cqb and probably sell the vfc for a woodland friendly thing.. (Still in the mood for a nice underfolder :/ ) Removed the grip and fire selector erlier and now i cant get the damn thing into safe again, like the gearbox isnt in the correct possition or something, damn things!! Bloodsword
Check the external selector switch (outside the gearbox), that tooth of it are aligned.

hiawatha
Will take a look om it, if i could just find some time first =P awesome Mightyjebus! How you like that folding stock ?
mightyjebus
it's stiff with no wobble unlike a lot of folding stock AK's. The quality of these is so good you think you could knock down a wall with it without any damage to the AEG.
Candydad
The AK47s with the folding stocks look the *suitcase* but man, i really hate playing with them xD
hiawatha
Is it really so bad ? =P Because im in the mood for a rs type 56-1 :/
Candydad
Me personally, i hate them, i find them really uncomfortable. The real swords i have played with all have wobbled alot aswell... Opinions differ ofc.
hiawatha
I guess the wobble will come in time no matter what brand. I didnt like the ar-style on my vfc so in need for somerhing else. Maybe full wood ;-)

ninja master of coffee
With an AKS or AKMS just keep the stock folded, it's handier that way and airsoft guns don't recoil. That way who cares about a bit of play in the stock?
Candydad
True, as long as you don't put the stock on top of your shoulder, that really grinds my gears in milsims xDShooting from the hip inaccurately is at least "real"
hiawatha
NOT true, i need a stock to my shoulder im afraid =) is the underfolder on the type 57 in a different angle compared to Classic akms?
ninja master of coffee
I've never found accuracy is an issue either, once you know how an AEG shoots you should be able to line up the sites without a stock. It's like shooting a pistol but bigger. I've used an AKMS for years now, can't recall the last time I bothered with the stock. Obviously if you want to randomly blat off a few rounds from the hip it's pretty handy too and looks the part. Edit: yes the stock angle is different, the type 56 has the old AKS stock angle whereas the AKMS puts the stock in line with the barrel. And yes, resting a stock on top of your shoulder is dumb. PureSilver
I always shoot from the shoulder (by far the best way to get a decent sight picture for me at least) and I agree with Candydad - the AKMS/Type 56-1-style underfolders look awesome but are absolute hell to shoot. The cheekweld is almost unbelievably uncomfortable (though I haven't tried the Samson cheekpad), and the stocks always seem to develop a wobble eventually. Hiawatha, the Type 56-2's ugly side-folder is supposed to be exceptionally solid and relatively comfortable, if you can get over the looks.
