DeadBolt
Im a asian porn fan myself actually Same Actually got off the phone with the guys at Sky last week, apparently I regularly use 80GB + per month...... ^^ I wonder if those two things have something in common But, Yeah, I'm on an unlimited package with Sky, adn supposed to get 10mb download (when I signed on) and was upgraded a couple months back to 20mb Yeah right... when I started with them, I regularly got 2mb, with tops of 2.5, nowadays I get average 2.5, max of 4mb. Atleast my ping is low (around 20-30ms) and packet loss is nil
Seraphim989
TMI TMI TMI. Now now, I seem to recall you mentioning on the previous page that you download a gig of anime every few days, which is obviously a simple codeword for porn. Let us not be to hasty in our judgements yes? Do you guys have to either talk to your provider or calculate it yourself to figure out your total? I imagine it's much faster on campus, but here's my internet at my apartment. Not very nice, but considering how unbearably slow it is at home, I don't complain...much P.S. vv This is how I like my porn to go vv
Wingers
i remember having 50mb Virgin Media and they said ther was too much demand on their UBR and they had over sold the service in the Leeds area (when i lived in Leeds at the time) and some days i got 50mb, some days i got 1mb, it was really tempremental and became increasingly frustrating but everytime it went naff, i complained and they gave me something for free or knocked money off my bill or did something. to be fair their customer service has a lot to be desired but when i got through to the right team, after being told to turn every on and off 100 times, they said keep ringing up, quote your reference as a fast track and to keep complaining. now im on a crappy 5mb Sky line but im renting a flat in an apartment block and there isnt really much option on that one, hoping to move again soon and then will be looking to go back on to virgin media which i hear is good in the Harrogate are of North Yorkshire, very posh up here dont you know ;-)
Samm
In this country they say £25 a month for all your TV, broadband and phone. Plus the £300 instillation fee, the line rental at about £20 a month, the capped 10gb limit with a £1 for each GB over. ... I believe they call this misinformation. Hardly anyone in the UK has to deal with this type of landline connection these days, in most situations where people are out in the sticks mobile broadband is faster and cheaper anyhow. danielsilva
TMI TMI TMI. *cough*hentai*cough* Do you guys have to either talk to your provider or calculate it yourself to figure out your total? I imagine it's much faster on campus, but here's my internet at my apartment. Well most ISPs around here during the "Capped Era" had counters on their client pages but nowadays everyone is uncaped so they don't have those any more. I know because my main router gathers that kind of data. BTW this is my residential connection right now, at least until the new fiber infrastructure gets installed in my area. Yeah my upload rates are pretty horsedoodoo ( 1Mbps ) and although my contracted is 20Mbps i can only use 12Mbps because the rest is diverted for the IPTV
Spudgun
Bandwidth. Don't talk to me about bandwidth! Do you want to know what my connection speed is right now? I'll tell you. It's 28.8Kps. Yes, 28.8 Kilobytes per second! Most of you can download in a day what it would take me a year to download. Yeah, I've got a 56K Modem, but the line will only give me a pathetic 28.8Kps MAX! Even worse (Unitl I put a stop to it), BT were forever phoning me, trying to sell me broadband. GRRRRRRRR!!
FireKnife
Very few people (if any) get the upload and download speed promised as it is just not manageable on the system we use. In this country we go insane when someone says yes we have 20mb download. Woo *fruitcage* hoo, Japan has 200mb and the US can peak at 100mb along with most of mainland Europe having 50mb download. As for the pr0n i like a bit of everything, preferably if it involves women, toys and roughness. Never understood the whole craze with all the weird internet stuff. Hardly anyone in the UK has to deal with this type of landline connection these days, in most situations where people are out in the sticks mobile broadband is faster and cheaper anyhow. That was meant as an 'entire package' deal thing. Our internet here is achieved by a simple router connected to the main phone system using the typical broadband connections yet i can still get a realistic 5-10mb out here, something i don't get in the middle of the city. Xaccers
My web server takes up about 17GB a month alone, no idea what the rest of my net use does. 2.6Mbps down but more importantly 1.1Mbps up.
