Leon Kennedy Posted March 26, 2011 Report Share Posted March 26, 2011 I picked up a G&P 551 Holo sight clone off Evike recently and decided to get some pictures and some impressions up for any who may look to purchase this sight in the future. I'll update this page in the future with a full review, skirmish report, etc. For now, I can discuss the pros and cons that I've found. PRO: -Sight is very well built; strong, durable, no wobble. -Lightweight. Didn't add much to my gun's overall burden. -Red reticule is extremely sharp, crisp, and bright. -Easy to adjust. -Nice packaging! Plenty of cut-out foam, safe and secure. CON: -Green reticule has some ghosting, even on the lowest light setting in complete darkness. -Runs on LR44 batteries; not as easy to find as the 552's AAA cells. -Didn't include batteries...bought some separately, but would have appreciated the gesture. The pictures show the crispness of the red reticule in daylight. The darkness shots are inherently fuzzy due to the camera focus, but the green mode's ghosting is clearly visible.
