The Inokatsu/Redwolf Scam Thread!

Redwolf nor Inokatsu have been upfront with what makes a 2011 a 2011. What is known is that the Inokatsus sold by Redwolf are assembled at Redwolf (IE. why they have challenge kits and no one else). Much like when Ehobby was selling Vipers. Redwolf's assembly operation is most likely sub par with 2010 and 2011 parts intermixed in the same bins. Buyers are purchasing 2011's but are most likely getting a mishmash. Bolts and receivers from a 2010 and the rest from the 2011 batch. Buyers have become more savvy then they expected and have outlined the differences. Their purposeful ambiguity is starting to backfire.

What makes it a 2011 version? The pray for japan paper? I'm assuming the box saying its an M4a1 and having no mention of CQBR is because they use the same box?

How long would it take a gun to get from the Ino factory in Taiwan to a shop in Taiwan?

how long would it take a gun to get from the ino factory to redwolf, and then from them to QRF?

does the diference between the two times maybe account for why a 2010 version was bought from QRF when a 2011 version was bought from a shop in Taiwan?

I retract what I've said about Inokatsu and Redwolf. I apologize. Here's a complete response from Redwolf made on Gasguns.net:

Thanks for everyone's additional interest in this topic. We would like to answer as many as possible but please forgive us if we miss a few. We'll try to answer as many as possible in this thread as time goes by.

1. First of all, as much as some would like to believe, RedWolf does not and cannot pressure moderators to do anything. Arnies and other forums like this one prides themselves on objectivity. At the same time, trying to influence the press frankly violates our corporate principle. We just share the facts and let everyone decide.

Arnies moved the thread without our knowledge - we only just read the update ourselves via the thread.

2. As far as we know, Inokatsu does not sell CQBR front ends separately, nor do they sell receivers separately. All Inokatsu M4's and CQBRs manufactured and delivered this year were complete guns. This is as much as we know to be true.

3. We do not assemble Inokatsu M4's. We were surprised how one forum poster came up with that idea! Inokatsu assembles their M4's and CQBRs and delivers them as complete guns. We do sell challenge kits, but the point of the challenge kit is for users to assemble it themselves so they can familiarize themselves with the mechanics of the gun (so they are better prepared to maintain and fix the gun themselves).

4. The difference between the SUPER VERSION and the 2011 version are not drastic. It's more of a slight facelift version with a minor tweak, but it's still different nevertheless. Inokatsu told us they have refined the receiver so the fitting is much more precise (noticeably the seam line between the upper and lower receiver is much finer visually). The engravings also seem to be a bit sharper and deeper. Finally, there is a small difference with the bolt. Part of the bolt is strengthened for greater durability - where previously it was a part where the metal was CNC'd too thinly. Now that part is thicker.

5. Unfortunately Inokatsu does not have a fix for the nozzle yet. Within the company, we have never experienced the nozzle breaking after 500 rounds (we use Inokatsu's ourselves for indoor games). We've also never seen a broken nozzle. But we've heard about this happening from internet forum posts. If anyone has a photo of their broken nozzle, please send it to webmaster@redwolfairsoft.com. We have notified Inokatsu about this alleged "broken nozzle" issue and they say they need more information. At the same time, we have requested that Inokatsu sell the nozzle independently so that folks can replace just the nozzle and not the entire gun. We have reason to believe that not all nozzles have this problem. Could be a bad batch? We We don't know for sure but any additional info you can provide would help us narrow this down.

6. There is no timing issue on the delivery of the CQBR's to the QRF retail store here in Hong Kong. The Inokatsu CQBR shipment was delivered to RedWolf only a couple weeks ago, and the CQBRs were distributed down to Hong Kong retail shops a few days later. These Inokatsu CQBR's were all manufactured in Taiwan in March 2011. This is a newly assembled batch!

7. While we usually do handle these issues privately, we felt we needed to post the facts here for everyone to see. If some conspiracy theorists are propagating untrue information publicly, then we must take our response public as well. This simply cannot be handled privately. Sorry for taking everyone's time on this topic.

8. Dicky, the customer who purchased the CQBR, did not buy the gun from RedWolf. They bought it from a retail shop in Hong Kong. RedWolf stepped in to help after seeing that Dicky's disappointment that the CQBR was a SUPER VERSION and not a 2011. We suspect the topic never came up when he purchased the gun, nor did Dicky know that there were different Versions of the Inokatsu M4 and CQBR. What we do know is that Dicky saved up a while to buy this gun and we felt terrible he wasn't more properly educated on what he was buying. So we stepped in to help.

9. About the Inokatsu Facebook page - this is what the Inokatsu CEO tells us: The guy who runs the Inokatsu Facebook page is Inokatsu's CEO's friend. The CEO called his friend yesterday after realizing that improper and inaccurate information was posted that is causing confusion. The friend then shut the page down after realizing he had created market confusion through his incorrect comments!

We hope this answers some of the questions that everyone has been asking.

Thanks for reading!
