Pariah_WP
That is a really nice color combo. I can imagine that contrasting nicely with the hardware.
NiRo
What's happened to this? I wanna see how it turns out!
Murdoc
Nothing happened; I'm workin' on the metall parts. I'll post a photo before making the frigger/trigger guard...
Murdoc
I worked on the metall parts, and the rubber stock end(It can be finished 100% just after the stock is painted): I cut off the front sight... but it looks like "removed" like on this photo:
Murdoc
Now metall parts fit into the stock(including battery). I have to make the trigger system, and finish the charging handle(that's why cheek piece doesn't fit). I'll use that red/green dot on it.
Josiah Hull
Looks stellar! Will look extremely cool with it painted up and ready to go.
jonnyhal
looking good! not far off now!
Pariah_WP
That looks AWESOME! Wow man! Good job so far!
Murdoc
Thanx mates! So the gun won't be so short... I'll use the original flash hinder to look similar to CA M14 scoot(except my one will have no front iron sight).
Murdoc
Charging handle finished(I need to fix it, and remove the original): New one made from solid steel block(pictured above).
my_plague_666
i think the gun you are trying to replicate is hideously ugly, but that doesnt detract from the excellent work you've done. seriously impressive stuff. only thing i've been wondering is wouldn't it have been easier, more comfortable and better looking to use an AR15 (or any other for that matter) pistol grip?
Murdoc
Not 100% agreed... All bullpups are ugly in a subjective aspect. They can't be compared to full length M14s, AKs, SVDs, armalites, G3 variants, etc. But I don't think, that P90, AUG, FAMAS, and TAVOR are slightly more lovely than my one(from personal aspect, my one beats all of them except AUG, maybe FAMAS without carry handle)... Makin' the grip was the simplest part(nor aesthetic, nor practical, nor ergonomical reason to use an other). Just the trigger system remain... Do anybody coud measure me L85 trigger(nor trigger guard, nor trigger system!!!) thickness in mms on the trigger tip from right to left side of the gun... please...
CapnNukem
On my ICS L85 from left to right of the trigger (where your index finger pulls) is 74.39mm. The thickness from tip to tip as you look side on at the gun is 83.14mm. *edit* - see pic*
Murdoc
Thanx! Now I can start with that...
CapnNukem
Ignore those measurements, my caliper batteries were on their way out and I didn't pay any attention to what the measurements actually said..... Unless you want a trigger thats 74mm wide and 83mm deep, IE, fookin massive. 10.53mm first pic 18.71mm second pic I'm an idiot
Murdoc
I thought you're speaking about 7.439/8.314...
[NL]Infinity
Would have been one hell of a beefy trigger otherwise Contrary to what I first thought, when you said "foam blocks", I like how the project is coming along! keep it up!
Murdoc
That's the photo of the only one full auto M14(naturally from my type):
CapnNukem
How are you tackling the scope mount? the one on that (I assume old, first gen/prototype?) pic looks a bit...Lego.
Murdoc
Socom heat-shield-rail+HD-11 red dot scope... nothing special...(pictured at #55)

Murdoc
And the other side finished too, need to make it's place in the stock:
Murdoc
Stock 99% finished: No-no; it won't be black... However I need to fill the small dents with some putty, the smooth color helps(I could be pink too).
Murdoc
That's the final pattern: I know... I planned grass pattern, but that brush-stroke looks better. One more spray-resin layer, and rought surface treatment needed...
ShadowBolt
Looking great. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see the final result!
