Hey all! I kind of stumbled upon this thread by accident while searching for M16A2 receiver markings on google and saw one of Catgut's amazing VT's. Which brought me here I have been working on

One of my latest build, a real Colt M16A1 converted for GBBR on the WA system. Stripped upper, barrel and BCG was changed to Viper Tech du to my local laws. Also a video of how it was made:

New CA X-series M16 (added a G&G rail/outer barrel, Madbull 6.01, "flat" hop, Guarder M130, and G&P M120 motor)

My SPR from a few pages back, but with the addition of a lot of wear and tear, as well as a loooong suppressor. Wonderfully balanced, spent a lot of time slogging around in creeks yesterday and never really felt like I was carrying a long, heavy rifle.

Ended up losing the screw for the rear sight, but it friction fits onto the rail rather well.

Well, I certainly wasn't expecting that kind of response! :P

 

 

Heh, the randomness of it made me chuckle a bit, but in all seriousness, it's quite a nice, if accidental touch. Pretty much every picture of SF guys usually shows them with beards/stubble for obvious reasons, so it makes sense there'd be a patch of paint wear on the stock as a result. Surprised geardos haven't already thought of it! :P
