frogfish
Many schools have anti-airsoft policies, not just to avoid mistaken identity but also property damage. Many won't allow them on campus, some will let you store them at the campus police office (often treated the same as firearms). My university wouldn't allow airsoft replicas because irresponsible students would shoot holes in blinds, and sometimes shoot out windows. The university got tired of covering the damages and so the banned them. I find this funny as we were allowed to carry firearms on campus, *IF* we had a Texas issued Concealed Carry Permit, and we kept the firearm concealed at all times. slu
When I was in college, I just kept eveything in a Pelican. No one asked any questions.
validtumoralarm
Here airsoft guns are treated the same as real firearms. When I kept my GBBR at the VUPD station last year they even put a ziptie through the chamber and ejection port every time I checked it in.

I got into airsoft when I was still living on base in the unaccompanied enlisted dorms (yes, dorms. I was AF). We weren't allowed to have airsoft or paintball guns either, but it wasn't really enforced, as long as it was out of sight. My 1st SGT found them during an inspectiong, but he was taken by the cool factor and didn't care. One time I was coming back from an Op and they decided to search my vehicle. Needless to say, they about had an aneurysm when they found my M4. The rent-a-cops called the SF who tried to check the 'chamber' of my AEG. He couldn't figure out WTF the hop up was. Long story short, they scoled me and made me take them to the armory for storage. The SF cop made a passing comment that if he saw me carrying that in the parking lot, he would shoot me. I *almost* retored "You would shoot me for carrying a bag?" (I always use gun cases and bags). We had some fairly dumb rules in those dorms. No candles or incense, but smoking was ok... /OT Annnnnyway.... validtumoralarm, very cool looking old school KAC RIS M4. I'd say give it a dust of tan paint and you got a great early OEF M4A1. How times have changed, around the time I started getting in to airsoft everyone was moaning about those fancy-pants new rails. "damn sticklebrick"

So 2006-present is more what I'll be going for.
Noveske
Took the URX3 for her first game on Sat. I was amazed by how easy she was to handle due to how light she weighed. I'm a happy camper (not literally). Some pics:

Noveske
Is there a chinese knock off of the URX3? No. And I hope they never do make one. Too much of a beauty to make a farce out of.
kojak
Oh, now you've jinxed it. I'm sure that if you keep refreshing the EBB home page one will pop up soon. I try very hard to be practical, but the Madbull 4" DD Lite kit that's for sale everywhere has really got me tempted to build a baby Block II M4. How adorable would this be, fully accessorized:
Scuffer
Kojak - do it! Bang one of the short PDW motor grips and short shaft motor/EoTech XPS/SF Scout mini/TD mini grip and it'll be awesome =D
TheFull9
Definitely, stubby accessories, 20 round mags, good to go. Perfect for the SEAL in training: "You get the real-boy sized one when you pass"
PianoBlack
I think you're on to something, Kojak. I can't wait to see this done. -Piano

kingdong
That looks heavy as fudge, especially with an elcan but also looks good
spetsnazdave87
Actually the weight distribution's pretty good, the 203 locks into the barrel and lower receiver nicely and once the spectre's on it should balance out the weight pretty well! Just awaiting the M320 for my short rifle now Edited October 28, 2011 by spetsnazdave87
