SLR 8" SBR build done. Just waiting for a few accessories (sling end plate, AAC Blast Shield, Cloud Defensive LCS, and an actual working ScoutLight head) and repairing my BTC Spectre, but otherwise al

One of my latest build, a real Colt M16A1 converted for GBBR on the WA system. Stripped upper, barrel and BCG was changed to Viper Tech du to my local laws. Also a video of how it was made:

Hey all! I kind of stumbled upon this thread by accident while searching for M16A2 receiver markings on google and saw one of Catgut's amazing VT's. Which brought me here I have been working on

I like pretty guns, but if you want a tool to skirmish with then trademarks are about as important as a flashlight in the day time.

My thoughts exactly. I gave up a Magpul/VLTOR body for that thing, but I sure-as-*suitcase* am hitting a lot more people and that's all that matters. It's not a fashion show; I've learned that lesson before. My real steel have trademarks, and honestly they're the only things that need to have them. :D

It's not a fashion show

Dude, it's airsoft, of course it is! :P

Seriously though, I'm a sucker for trades - I couldn't ever own a KWA as a result; But I'm in the UK, so I don't have any real access to actual firearms with nice markings. I've switched to a WOC despite the drawbacks simply because it's the closest I can get to a real AR... If I had a real AR, I'd probably want noticeable 6mm markings to prevent a nasty gun case mixup...

Also, CK - A flashlight in broad daylight is exceptionally useful, have you not been playing BF3? :D

Or... The man who wants is weapon to actually blend in with his environment. Rather than sticking out like a sore thumb.

If you were to change the 'standard' colour of metal firearms components to brown, now that we're all used to black, it'd look weird. But if they'd just started with brown/khaki back in the day it'd make for far far better camo, black is truly rubbish in that sense.

I believe KWA trades are better option, than badly done Krylon coating ;). Maybe one day, some descent aftermarket metal bodies will be available for KWA users (just to clarify, I am not the one, but I am also one those poor airsofters ;) )

P.S. BTW - KWA markings are at least quite nice in terms of graphic aesthetics.
