Which, saying that, isn't too sunny... Still, I can see the dot clearly when it's a cloud free sky in the midst of summer, and I often don't use the highest setting in such conditions, with or without a killflash. What kind of environment do you play in? I'm on a woodland field, so it's all grass and trees and the like reflecting light; Possibly the reason? I can imagine if you're playing in an area full of light concrete or sand it might not be as effective? I play in a grass field with only a few trees and a lot of bunkers and hills, unfortunately this is currently the only legal field. When there aren't clouds in the sky I can't see the dot at all.
