SLR 8" SBR build done. Just waiting for a few accessories (sling end plate, AAC Blast Shield, Cloud Defensive LCS, and an actual working ScoutLight head) and repairing my BTC Spectre, but otherwise al

Hey all! I kind of stumbled upon this thread by accident while searching for M16A2 receiver markings on google and saw one of Catgut's amazing VT's. Which brought me here I have been working on

One of my latest build, a real Colt M16A1 converted for GBBR on the WA system. Stripped upper, barrel and BCG was changed to Viper Tech du to my local laws. Also a video of how it was made:

I have been wondering: are there 14+ to 14- thread adaptors for ARs?

Yes, but depending on how your barrel is designed. If your barrel is designed where the threads cannot be removed, the adapter will slightly increase the length of the barrel...here's a common one.

It's to put on the g&p LMT MRP.

But in fact I am feeling more concern about the difference of external diameters between the adaptor and outer barrel.

Oh and, thank you for the link. ;)

I know that feel, all the flash hiders I want are 14mm- only, and it's not like you can change the whole barrel. Plus, the added length from the converter looks off.

It just occurred to me that I could Dremel the threads out of a flashhider and simply glue it to the MRP barrel--using something mild like wood glue so it would still be removable.

That's a clever idea.

Or a little hole on the side of the flash hider with a screw that will tighten it to the barrel.

edit: I just saw on ehobby that madbul apparently makes an adaptor 14+ to 14- specially created for g&p ARs.

I will try it and let you know the result.

Anyone know where to get VFC 416 hardware? I'm missing the "washers" that the main RIS screw goes through, so a generic hexagonal one from Home Depot is holding it together. It's just a cosmetic issue.

What is this ? The Attack of the Trolls ? Or is this a kind of bit twisted joke I don't get...

The guy three posts above is named "blablabla", and he has nice blasters.

Email VFC. They'll send you what you need by post. They've sent me parts and other folks too.

Once again, my trusty M4A1 CQBR:

As nice as the golden brown BBQed suppressor looked, I repainted it to better resemble real photos. Also replaced the perfectly good 552 and PEQ-15 with a SpecterDR and LA-5 (with bodged in green laser, I can't have some empty box sitting on my rifle).
