The Mk12 SPR has an 18" barrel, the Recce Rifle has a 16" barrel (and i've only ever seen one verifiable pic of a real-deal Recce Rifle, and it's definitely 16"). 12" is getting on for halfway between a CQBR and a regular 14.5" M4 Carbine.
