SLR 8" SBR build done. Just waiting for a few accessories (sling end plate, AAC Blast Shield, Cloud Defensive LCS, and an actual working ScoutLight head) and repairing my BTC Spectre, but otherwise al

One of my latest build, a real Colt M16A1 converted for GBBR on the WA system. Stripped upper, barrel and BCG was changed to Viper Tech du to my local laws. Also a video of how it was made:

Hey all! I kind of stumbled upon this thread by accident while searching for M16A2 receiver markings on google and saw one of Catgut's amazing VT's. Which brought me here I have been working on

Where did you find that rear sight?

Exact same one :P Element used to make one, but apparently it's discontinued. I actually don't like running the LaRue BUIS any more and fancy the KAC 600m flip up instead. As much as the LaRue promo pics with the exact kind of optics setup in my pic above, having a flip up BUIS and flipping it down and out of the way really makes a difference if you're looking to acquire your targets faster...I don't think it makes much of a difference when my targets are 20-30m away but I'm planning on running that gun for CQB, so it's around 10-20m engagement distances in HK and acquiring targets as fast as possible are much more crucial at those ranges :P

Then again I realised that removing the EOTECH lightens up the gun significantly enough that I might as well just run irons for CQB and if I get the chance to run the gun outdoors, then I'll run the EOTECH :P For airsoft purposes the LaRue riser does allow for no zero shift...I've tested it about 20 times with the dot originally centered above my front post (aligned with the rear sight) and it holds :P
