Legionnaire759
Thanks fellas. The original build was inspired by that picture, Scuffer. However, to many of the guys I know here in Michigan built it so I decided to go with a slightly different setup. Thought about an XPS or Specter DR. I'm not to keen on Comp M4's but the idea is slowly growing on me. Still need to get a PEQ15, Scout light and CQD sling mount, then it should be done.
sigma3
Well I've seen this been discused in a couple of threads on this forum alone. This is one of shadownova's posts in the USMC thread that gives good info on the subject: --snip-- Hmm, interesting. Thanks.

Scuffer
Aww a baby block 2. What stock you putting on it? Also maybe try a PDW short motor grip and new motor, will be in keeping with the downsizing of the rest of the platform.
kojak
All you need is a 14.5" to complete the family. I had one for a while, but I loved my MK18 and the Block I M4 I had at the time so much I never used it: Aww a baby block 2. What stock you putting on it? Also maybe try a PDW short motor grip and new motor, will be in keeping with the downsizing of the rest of the platform. This one. It's pricey, and I'll have to buy some puny 100mm buffer tube lipos, but I just couldn't help it. Do PDW grips fit normal bodies?
Scuffer
This one. It's pricey, and I'll have to buy some puny 100mm buffer tube lipos, but I just couldn't help it. Do PDW grips fit normal bodies? Cool stuff. Yeah as far as I know they do, plenty of people have swapped them off their PDW and put standard grips on, so I assume the reverse is possible. You will have to change the motor to either a short or medium shaft one though. Get somebody with a PDW to confirm which mate
Agent Hunk
PDW uses medium motor. You can mod long ones to work. No idea how but my gun tech was going to do it for me when I had a PDW since medium motor options were lacking.
Extraordinaire
PDW uses medium motor. You can mod long ones to work. No idea how but my gun tech was going to do it for me when I had a PDW since medium motor options were lacking. Are you sure they actually use medium-type motors? I was under the impression that the motors used in the PDW grips were fairly proprietary. I'm also not sure how modding the grip to fit a large motor would work. I know you can just swap the grip and motor out for standard AR grip with long-type motor. Though, if there is a way to use a PDW-type grip with a long motor, I would be interested to find out.. -Ex
SHWEL
Modding the motor would be the option. Not the grip.
