G36 stock latch/button removal

Hi all,

 

I have an Ares G36KV that came with two stocks, a "KV" and "K" style. Only one of the stocks, the KV style stock, has a latch button on it. Is it possible to swap the latch button from one stock to another and if so how is this done?

 

I can't seem to figure out how to remove the latch button and swap it over into the standard "K" style stock.

 

Any tips would be appreciated.

 

 

EDIT: Got it.

 

If you look at the rear of the stock where the latch sits, there is a small rectangular pin that juts out. This pin wobbles around a bit when the latch button is depressed. If you use a screw driver to depress the pin it will slide into the latch mechanism allowing the entire mechanism to lift free.
