adadqgg
Cant figure out how to take the thing off first. You need to unpin the front sight block.
Reppyboyo
Ahh thought that may have been the case. Thanks!
adadqgg
Ahh thought that may have been the case. Thanks! I just remembered: even the front sight block is slightly different... only one pin + screw... Edited October 21, 2011 by adadqgg
Reppyboyo
New events in my saga to get spare parts! CWI: Never responded beyond inital email. ASG: Could not get the parts and I quote: "Anyway, we have tried our best to find in the market and contact the manufacturer for the parts. However, the bad news is they have no planning on issuing parts." No planning on issuing parts? Seriously? Otherwise they are offering a partial refund at the moment or a possible full refund. WE: Apparently the factory missed the order for parts and it will be another week. Sure as hell not getting my hopes up.
Habakure
Ah *fruitcage* , that is seriously bad news. Hopefully I'm just being pessimistic and you'll get the replacement parts, soon.
DiscoBiscuit
Ah *fruitcage* , that is seriously bad news. Hopefully I'm just being pessimistic and you'll get the replacement parts, soon. Is there an assumption the replacement parts won't be made of the same slurry as the originals? If not, who really cares if replacement parts are available? Is anyone seriously interested in buying more of the same garbage? What am I missing here? WE will give the molds to RA-Tech in return for a piece of the sales and the charade will continue with their next release and their next and .... Habakure
I guess I was trying to be supportive, but you've just shot that out of the water, well done. I suppose I should have said "Give it up reppyboyo and buy ra-tech parts", but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Oh its a harsh world after all. Serious note:- Hope you do get the replacement parts Reppyboyo and that WE will have improved the parts and thats why the parts are delayed.
Reppyboyo
I would buy the RA-Tech parts if they were out. As for now I just want to skirmish the bloody thing again, its been sat in its box rusting away (no, really!) for a month now. I have been VERY tempted to put real steel trigger bits in there to see if they work (http://www.midwayuk.com/apps/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?SaleItemID=537906) but I highly doubt they will without modification. Seriously tempting though.

Only generalizing, I just happened to quote your post to get started.
Habakure
I'll put my hand bag away then. If the real steel parts are cheap enough and you have access to machinery that can alter the parts, I can't see a down side.
danielsilva
So another fluke from WE heh ? It seems they have a 1 good product for every 5 bad ones, too bad i kinda looked forward for this one ...
adadqgg
http://www.arms-cool.net/forum/thread-102325-1-1.html Soon, you can get your nice piece of CNCed brass(?) to shorten WE AKs-74u back to "half travel" bolt and get normal GBBR performance.
Reppyboyo
Odd choice of material, still at least users will have a choice. Might come in handy for winter actually.
Ballistic Tsunami Airsoft
Just had an absolute blast skirmishing with this fine GBBR at a local CQB field. Here's my HD video review. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDp-Bfvhcug
adadqgg
Odd choice of material, still at least users will have a choice. Might come in handy for winter actually. Well, it looked brass eventhough the post said it was CNCed steel. Not sure if WE is trolling...
Reppyboyo
Forgot to mention. ASG game me a small partial refund out of good will, which was nice. WE have not got back to me. A 2 week wait extended another week and now (yet another week later) nothing. I think WE are trying their hardest to lose me as a customer.
Reppyboyo
In some good news, the RA-Tech steel parts will be out soon: http://en.ratech.com.tw/product/html/rag/rag_we_detail/rag_we_detail_080.php
DiscoBiscuit
In some good news, the RA-Tech steel parts will be out soon: http://en.ratech.com.tw/product/html/rag/rag_we_detail/rag_we_detail_080.php Are these a 1 for 1 match of the parts made of Brie on your gun? Or are there other weak parts that they haven't made? Thanks.
Ballistic Tsunami Airsoft
I asked an admin if my post on the AK-74UN needed to be closed and Marlowe closed it. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks. Im pretty sure this covers the entire trigger group. Now all we need is RA-Tech to make a better version of the block up front so adadqgg can stop moaning about it
kullwarrior
hmm congrat the AK Steel Trigger Assembly and selector are out now...However, my money says the WE Bolt Carrier is pot metal..... WE G39 Steel Trigger set only + Pot metal carrier = Carrier Destroyed WE M4 Steel Trigger set only + Pot metal carrier = Carrier Destroyed WE AK Steel Trigger set only + Pot metal carrier =?!? Honestly, it aint over until steel carrier is released.
adadqgg
Now all we need is RA-Tech to make a better version of the block up front so adadqgg can stop moaning about it And then they will make a replacement receiver/selector mech set to make the AK externally accurate...oh wait... danielsilva
And then spend a whole day filling down Ra-Tech parts to fit them ....
DiscoBiscuit
I'll have to take a big pass on this, though for some reason I am attracted to the XM177. KWA LM4, please be the shizzle.
