aznriptide859
Part of the point for me and Noveske was to take something pretty obscure/hard to replicate in the airsoft world and make it one of a kind; with BP's offering, that appeal is gone (unless BP does a limited run only). The MAG-K is definitely one of the hardest projects to work on due to its nature, and I am intrigued BP decided to do this project in the first place; not every company dedicates so much effort into a one-off project by a real steel shooting "superstar", if you will. Now, if BP came out with an AK MIAD, I'd jump all over that.
Grindstone
My question is, are the Magpul bits PTS or ACM? And for the record, I've wanted to build a GBBR MAG-K since GHK first came out with their 74.
uscmCorps
I am intrigued BP decided to do this project in the first place; not every company dedicates so much effort into a one-off project by a real steel shooting "superstar", if you will. They mentioned their interest in doing it ... and when they did I gave them a nudge to follow through and see the project to its completion. A lot of these Airsoft manufacturers surf military websites and news forums in an attempt to stay current and keeping up with trends. Some prefer old school guns, some like contemporary ones. The guys at Beta Project tend to like doing guns from all different genres that they find personally interesting. This AK caught their eye and attention just as it did for many potential consumers. They simply had the means to make it and so they did. Grindstone: those are PTS parts. Not ACM.
RacingManiac
Someone make a GBBR version of this so I can just buy one instead of trying to build it....
chas
My question is, are the Magpul bits PTS or ACM? PTS. WGC stopped selling ACM replicas of Magpul products since PTS got into the game.

Mirska
Quite expected this to emerge from them after all they made the AK mags following Travis using the RS counterparts on his MAG-K and now lately other components coming available such as the rails.
aznriptide859
It's a surprise Beta Project is delving into the world of actual guns (the CheyTac M200, now the MAG-K) after so long of just making mags/accessories/add-ons. Curious on their quality in the long run.
LeftyFlip
I was already thinking about turning my ak74u into something like this, I would definitely like to sell that and pick this up now.

aznriptide859
Nature of being expensive? More like nature of modding; the stock assembly took weeks if not months of planning for both of us to get it right. EDIT: And....SOB it's out. http://www.wgcshop.com/wgc2008/main/product_detail1.php?item=BP-AEG-TAK

Horsem4n
some footage of the bolt is seen here in this TMC vid about installing the battery: and yarp, its LCT style.
aznriptide859
Wow. That is almost a direct copy of Noveske's dual handle design - he welded his on a LCT bolt too. I still enjoy a full bolt though - they should've come up with a way to mount the battery in the stock.
