-Al-
Hi folks, just wondering if anyone has come across good storage solutions for VSR magazines... Ideally I'm looking for wearable upper arm or attachable mid-stock magazine storage; I'm looking to make magazine changes as quick and low-movement as possible while prone. Worst comes to the worst I'll just rig something together with elastic and duct tape, but if there's any readily-available solutions out there I'd give them a shot. Cheers! -Angel-
Pistol mag pouches. Flap top or kydex, just mount them where appropriate. Or elasticated shotgun shell loops.
TomGinge
I have one of those Guarder stock covers, the ones with the padded cheek rest on one side and the mini pouch on the other side. I throw a couple of mags in there, works brilliantly.
farding
I use the Stock pouch too, can normaly get one or two mags in there, I once met a sniper that had 800D condura on his forarm with the Molle webbing attached. worked brilliantly with anything but he had few custom pouches for L96 mags. shmook
I use a stock pad/pouch too. A sniper I know (a real one), sews pockets to his sleeve ends on his combats for a mag and secateurs too
The Bushman
I use a mag pouch on the stock too. I use it for the tanaka as the mags only hold 11 shots. I only use 1 spare magazine and that is pretty heavy for the m40a1. You need a bipod on the front to balance the rifle imo. Adding both of those items makes the m40a1 much heavier and bulkier. I also have one, for one of my VSR's and find it is better, to use with lighter mag's. You can carry 2 no bother and they make mag changes easy as pie. I recommend them.
