Hedganian
Having problems leaving feedback for old trades - I copy the trade topic into the box, but when I submit it comes back saying A required field has not been filled in, please review the form. And the URL has been shortened in the box, all the parts before /index.php? are gone. Might it be an issue with the URL itself? - here's an example: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=174609 Some newer trades have let me post feedback okay. Arnie
Yes could be, try it in the format : http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/183289-acm-g36-rail-red-dot-sight-with-laser/ It doesn't like the old format it seems. I'll stick a ticket in. I found that above link by finding a link to the topic from the current forum. That format dates back to 2009, it works but it's obviously not what the feedback system was expecting.
Hedganian
Okay, yeah the new format works fine. I was just going through old sales by searching for all my posts in the Classified section, and those old-style links are what I got for a lot of the threads.
TheFull9
Will the form accept links for PM conversations? Only I made a purchase from another member the other day but it was all discussed by PM, no thread was ever put up in the classifieds, and when I try and submit feedback I get the error message as Hedganian. Arnie
Nope -as mentioned it'll only accept a topic. We don't really advise "PM only" sales, it's always better to evidence it in a topic.
Hedganian
Yeah, a lot of my sales threads don't actually have anyone posting in them to register interest, people do tend to do it by PM. Which is fine until months or even years later, when you've deleted the PM and can't find out who you sold XYZ item to...
Arnie
Ah yeah, you only need to update your topic with the vendor details. The seller and buyer can then give feedback. It's a newer system so it'll take a bit for us all to get used to it and for us to write a quick guide for it.
Hedganian
Would be helpful if anyone PMing with interest on an item would post in the sale topic too. But yeah, I'll make sure to post the buyer in the topic on any future sales I make.
