Schnitzel with noodles - what made you smile today?

It's all down to the US really; how the next few years play out will be instrumental to areas elsewhere. It's been a good 8 months now for Colorado, and *fingers crossed* nothing bad has happened yet, or will do in the future. I believe Oregon is the state most likely to legalise it next. They've got a strong ballot with plenty of support.

Could just move to Amsterdam?

It is a nice enough city, the population speaks enough English that you won't have to learn Dutch immediately to survive and the country has a reasonably low crime rate along with other low rate issues.

Lets face it, given the average attitude of the stuffy British public that make up the voting and voicing majority (so not the stupid morons that bang on about things but don't vote, lots of them round my way at the moment until September) I doubt much will happen. Sure it can be taxed but the Conservatives will not look at it as they know their voting majority would not stand for it, in fact the voting majority for both major parties are probably similar and as such no matter how much support an idea has it can still be political suicide in other ways.....

As for happy thread, my ASDA stuff has arrived at the local store, much more effective than the pathetic service I am getting from Royal Mail at the moment, and I have a pair of not-the-first-dates scheduled (that just leaves me the issue of which girl would I pick, it is like being given two offers for two entirely different but ideal and well paying jobs).

From what I recall airsoft is now legal in The Netherlands.

Saying that apparently, according to linked sources, full auto is legal in NZ but you have to have a reason for owning airsoft guns, clearly my legal understanding of airsoft has fallen behind :P.

Well there are a couple of outpost sets, one mobile and one not so mobile.

Saying that they look a bit modern and not like the typical grey, dull boxes that you see in some films.

Still I have other bits to finish, just waiting on one or two bit and then trying to flog some other stuff too.

I had a Chinese clone sling, they'd used cheap metal on the clip and after two games it'd worn through and looks in danger of shearing.

Still, £2.11ish for two games worth? That's a Blackhawk at £25 two games a month for a year and you're quids in almost. Should have bought ten clones.

Not sure why but makes me smile but I just found out the kid who played the oldest son in Outnumbered is actually the son of porn star Ben Dover

Would you really want a pornstar for a Dad though. Would have to be careful what things you Google'd eh? :P

Going for the slimmer Steve Austin look eh? :D

Still that is an awesome axe but as I learnt at a local site those things are a bit stiff for airsoft (oh-er) due to the handle shape however they are good fun.

Tempted to get a Cold Steel Peacekeeper Knife myself.

I might cut the handle down actually, it's a bit long, I envisage it bouncing off my leg in an annoying fashion. Either that or I devise a secondary bungee retention device to keep it secured to my leg as I move. I wear Droplegs so it's not a great stretch to utilise the leg straps for this purpose.

It could be worse. Just imagine the camera angle changing while you're "having some me time" to show your old man on screen

That moment when you have just realised that you have just climaxed to images of the lower half of a man that turns out to be your Dad firmly deep in the backside of a drunk, Cockney, dolled up tart. That is a moment no-one wants to live through...... (also why is British porn so weird, it's like half way between American and German but with lots of 'stick it up my *suitcase*-er?).

Depends where you plan to hang it. Most often people seem to have it running down one side of thier back, just behind the arms in some fashion.

Though this is probably why I would stick to a knife, then it is just a simple, stiff bayonet frog and its done.

Bit like airsoft then ;)

In the words of the locals "Get to *fruitcage*!" :D

Running down their back? This reeks of some larping fantasy thing. Axes should be worn on your belt, in a simple loop for rapid draw speed. You don't want any weapon on your back in a combat situation, IMO.

In a real world combat situation yes but this is airsoft. People stick anything, anywhere and it works for them. Also in traditional medieval combat (which fantasy LARPing does borrow a fair bit from) the axe is held by the neck in a metal loop hanging from the belt. On your back is more where you find things like breaching mallets and hammers for Couter Terrorist units, like hoe the SAS CT kit has loops to hold a small sledgehammer on the back, that sort of thing.

Though if it was an axe I would be too tempted to wail on a door while quoting The Shining.
