Slow cooker pulled pork is crazy good. We've done it a few times now and it's amazing. Chucked in a roll/bap/barm (barm for normal folk...!) and win :)

That's exactly what I did with it.

Then the gf surprises me by whipping an apple crumble out of the oven.

She's a bit good.

Women do that. They drive you to distraction and bubbling with rage sometimes, but then they go 'ta-da' without even thinking about it and do something awesomely awesome and make you fawn and coo like a little *badgeress*...

^Story of my life.

Bought a 5.56 ammo tin today to store in. Probably going to use it for TAG rounds and launchers until I sort a 40mm one. Also a friend and I bought some PVC pipe to build cases for the TAG launchers to protect them in pouches. Unfortunately they won't fit straight in but a cut down the length of the case makes them fit. Look forward to refining the sleeve.

That's a really good idea for the TAG rounds bud! Might have to nab the idea off you! I've been looking at getting some TAG rounds myself!

Go ahead, I'm sure we're not the first to come up with the idea of protecting the rifling (in fact I think I was inspired off somewhere here). Just the plastic rifling isn't that sturdy and replacements are about $35 so building cheap sleeves seemed a good investment.

I'm only ever planning on carrying loaded TAG shells into the field but you could do the same with just the projectiles to keep them safe.

Just need to buy some TAG projectiles now, and some more launchers.

I've not seen anything to the contrary. Airsoft World have increased the amount of items they stock. I think its because they're used for pyrotechnic purposes. So it might just take a couple of idiots messing round with them in public to get them banned.

Cheap they're not. Sixty odd for a launcher and about £6 per pyro. For normal games I would only ever use a couple for giggles but could see myself using them heavily in special games/milsim.

Might have to place an order. Will cheer me up a bit - got an awful crick in my neck.

Emailed the medic with subject and main body reading "MAN DOWN". He phoned, then rode over on his bike to issue me with a heat pack and a form to sign a vagina out from the QMs. Worked in a way, made me chuckle.

Not fair you guys, I'm a dog trapped in a man's body!!

I think though that the dog squad is an achievable goal for me (I don't think I can ever go armed forces because of my ankle). Do need to learn to drive for a start though. >.> Then pull a couple of years on the beat.

I can tab like a boss but I have a horrible feeling the mile and a half runs and pushups etc would destroy me. Especially as I'd be going for the Working Dog Regiment (Really the only regiment I'd really want in on. Lost a mate to an IED who might still be around if they'd had a dog. Knew Liam Tasker as a kid too and I feel it'd be a fitting tribute).

I'm a way off being a healthy weight anyway but the move is looking like June where I'll get a housemate to help motivate/abuse me. Then we'll see where I can go. :)

To become a Dog Handler I'd need a license though. Shame learning to drive is so expensive (another reason to move back South, buddies will teach me hah).

Yeah I know about the regular police work before the specialisation. It makes sense, they're pretty competitive with the dog unit too. Was looking to become a Special but wasn't in a good place mentally at the time.

But certainly more appealing than a career with Spoons. That's not the life for me.

I bought a new seat post recently.

It is an Ergon CF3 which is the same as a Canyon VCLS.

Very high tech suspension seat post that works by having 2 carbon fibre leaf springs in the shape of a single post.

I haven't fitted it yet because it is the right length for my my new bike, not my current one.

However, it comes with a sticker warning the owner that you must not - under any circumstances - ride a bike fitted with it if you weigh more than 100kg.

That made me feel pretty good.
