Looks like we've got a couple lonely lads in the "design your own wedding card" thread.

Chin up!

:P

Edit, it's locked now.

I shall live the rest of my life forever wondering what could have been...

When you're smashing Fruh Kolsh.  It's not a waste.  You want to drink as much as you can before you have to come back to *suitcasey* English beer.  I'm talking most stuff on tap at bars.  Yes, I know, we have decent ale before anyone says.

Yeah we have decent beers but most bars are meh with others. I love woodchuck but there are no bard here that sell it. Sure I could just get smashed at home but I have this thing about drinking in my home for some reason.

Got my dual Comtacs today, they work with my genuine U94 PTT and one of the repro mics included (the genuine mic was far too quiet). Happy Geardo is happy.

Though now I need a whip antenna, a helmet (looking at you FMA ballistic maritime), ARC rail connectors and another radio (Tri need to make a 148 now too).

Oh and 9 liner cue stickers for the radios...

Good to hear it.

For me, I cut my arm open in the process, but the barrel is finally bisected*. As is the length of angle steel that will form the bracket. It's just the hinges and the stay to go then its all woodwork.

*trisected if you want to be pedantic, because I cut out the dip tube from the inside which I am likely to turn into a handle for the bbq trolley.

Just picked my Dad up from the hospital. :)

I know a couple of you follow aviation and the news so to keep you updated. There was a Spitfire crash at Biggin Hill airfield yesterday around 1400. The pilot was my dad, he managed a forced landing on the airfield after an engine failure.

Thankfully he was able to pull himself out of the cockpit and came away with 2 broken ribs, a chipped shoulder bone as well as a lot of bruising.

Unfortunately the aircraft has been classed as written off and technically not feasible to repair but thankfully the guys at the Heritage Hangar are already planning the rebuild and it should be back in the sky's in the next year or so.

I don't want to make a side track of the tragic loss of Kevin Whyman yesterday after an incident at Car Fest. But for me personally this has definitely been an eye opener. Made me very thankful for the emergency services and other support services at the airfield and in the Kent area who have been fantastic.

Someone was watching over him yesterday, had the situation been even a tiny bit different things for me now could be completely different.

Back from a week away camping with our Church, then a weekend back in the old stomping ground.

Brilliant time was had.

Managed to snag an exhaust for my Corrado for £72 as my back box literally fell off on friday evening (IT SOUNDS AMAZING NOW!)

New simcard arrived so now my phone can have ALL THE INTERNETS!

Life is good :)

Oh shoot that was your Dad? That's amazing that he gets to fly Spitfires, glad he survived the crash. Do you know what went wrong? All the papers just say loss of power.

Thanks for the kind words guys :) he's pretty lucky in still being around and getting to fly all the cool planes. More nerveracking is when he's in the paper WW1 planes held together with glue and string, they get pushed backwards in the air if the wind is high.. He's a ballsy guy though nothing seems to phase him when flying is involved!

As for the engine failure they don't know what caused it yet.. They're thinking some debris got inside and seized it but it's hard to tell. As far as im aware the engine is being sent to a specialist for analysis and then we should know more :) apparently there was a lot of fire coming out of the exhausts until he shut it down when he could.

Did the London Pru 100 yesterday, so far have raised over £400 for the MS Society (my sister has it).

It felt bad that I was angry to be held up in a huge traffic jam of cyclists only to find out the reason for the hold up was that a man had died attempting Leith hill.

Guilty much?

Although it was fun to do I won't be doing it again, too many people on the course.

Also, no pressure:

Nice one Stunt. I shall probably put something in on Friday if it'll still be open?

So PTS AAC M4 suppressor and flashider ordered, collecting a WE M4 on Wednesday. Then to swap upper for the spare 416 one my friends has. He also has a spare 320.

Then time to sort all the other gubbins. :D
