shmook
Me too. Cheers, juat wondered if you'd heard anything not in the public domain. I can't even find a rumour of a next one, albeit a cursory search
Tw1tch
Apparently the drug crazed man I was required to restrain at work a month or so ago who managed to sock me in the eye has been ordered by the court to pay me compensation for being assaulted (technically battery though, right? Assault is fear of violence IIRC).
hitmanNo2
Try not to spend your £0.19 a week for 243 weeks too quickly.
DeltaZero
The beeping fire alarm has stopped, I haven't notice the neighbours are home so maybe it's totally run flat.. Also, managed to change the front discs and pads of my wife's car in just under an hour this morning, no hiccups at all. Nice that it went problem free for once!
shmook
Twitch, as above, good luck with that... Delta, need to do those on my wife's car as they came up as an advisory. More money. Yay. Looking at leasing 2 brand new cars atm.
Xaccers
Had a great time at the NAE last weekend. Enjoyed a free recharge at Fleet, and a quick free top up at Nissan HQ at Maple Cross on the way back. So 140 miles for free, which would have cost me £25+ in my old Laguna. Yay. Looking at leasing 2 brand new cars atm. Have a hunt around online there are usually some good deals on pads&discs going on most of the time if you look for them. I managed to pick up a brembo set for just over £30 for the lot I'll try and dig out the invoice with a web address for you. If you keep the car of course, no point if you're getting rid of it! Yay. Looking at leasing 2 brand new cars atm. You should be able to get front discs and pads for under 60 quid, parts only. As delta said it's easy enough to do.
shmook
Yeah, thanks, I don't mind doing brakes. Dead easy on fords too. Ill look at them today and if nor dangerous I'll leave it until we decide if we are swapping just 1 or both cars
hitmanNo2
When your free, Amazon super saver order that you ordered Saturday evening is delivered Sun morning. Amazing.
Tinkerton
noice. I got my first set of fencing socks. got fed up of looking like the only odd one out with my bare legs extending past the breeches. Turns out, Leon Paul fencing socks are actually correctly sized! First pair of socks I've owned for a while that are properly comfortable, and the fact that some witchcraft means they come up past my knees is, quite frankly, incredible. Also, taken on the chief steward role at my church today. Exciting times!
shmook
Never even knew fencing socks were a thing. No reason why they shouldn't be, it's just not a world I move in! Also, what does being a church steward entail? Genuine question
Tinkerton
like football socks but less ribbed, more padded, and longer. Stewarding isn't that much really - making sure the notice leaflets are handed out, making sure there is bread and grape juice for communion, making sure there is tea and coffee (and buscuits) for after the meeting, plus some other stuff. Also, finally decided on a house. 4 bed detached new build with integral garage. Wont be released for reservation until December-ish but due to be completed in June/July next year, which gives us just enough time to scrape together a deposit. which makes me want to dance a merry jig, and throw up, in equal parts. hitmanNo2
I'm looking at houses too. I've been trying to find one with a pool where I can swim and simultaneously stare at my supercar collection. Finally, a house builder that is tune with the needs of today's man. amateurstuntman
Good thing you have the glass separator. I'd hate the humidity from the pool to corrode your car.
hitmanNo2
Sadly I don't need to worry about corrosion. I have neither a supercar collection nor the £18.5M to purchase that property. It just amused me is all.

amateurstuntman
Yeah, at least my rust has a lot of Pinzgauer under it. If anyone else is after one there is a 716 (more modern diesel one) on eBay at the moment for about 20 grand.
Hedganian
I wish I had twenty grand that I could spend on a pinz. Hell, I wish I had twenty grand...
Tinkerton
20 grand would mean that the money I'm saving now for deposit and stamp duty and solicitors fees etc could be much better spent making my corrodo less corroded...
amateurstuntman
Yeah, I don't have 20 grand either. However, when my wife's dad dies I'll throw a party for everyone. How does that sound?
Hedganian
Seems a bit macabre, but I'm in...
