Brigg
Hey, has anyone run into any problems firing on full auto with the LM4? Mine has developed a problem recently where on full auto, it will seemingly try to chamber two rounds. jamming the gun. this has already destroyed the hop adjuster once. which Ive replaced. Ive tried replacing the magazine springs and feed lips but that hasnt seemed to help. Just wondering if anyone here had any thoughts.
uscmCorps
Brigg, have you taken this issue to their KWA forums? Their techs see every conceivable issue and are active in helping people resolve issues with their guns.
emp3ror86
Guys, do you know a shop who would send me some LM4 spare parts to Europe? I need to replace the upper receiver on my LM4. I tried KWA USA and am still waiting for their reply hoping they would make an exemption. I know about their european distributor, but that shop is not open AFAIK
uscmCorps
Again, I would post this question on their forums.
Brigg
yeah, I asked on the KWA forums and I didn't really get much of a response. they suggested polishing the feed ramp but that didn't seem to help. I also thought I had nailed the magazines as the problem, but a replacement of the feedlips and springs didn't seem to help the issue at all. So im kind of stumped. It almost seems as if a BB is jumping out of the magazine on the backstroke of the bolt movement, and is then getting slammed forward by the bolt on the return movement. emp3ror86
What quality BB do you use? We had many feeding problems with low quality BB.
Finbarqs
yeah, the issues of gas guns: you must use quality bb's that wont get crushed, since they are literally being loaded by the bcg! The Double feeding issue could be your hop up rubber being worn. A lot of these issues reside in the hop up, or the quality of bb's you use..

akiraspeedstar
Is that a real ballistic?
uscmCorps
No. It's a real Carbon. I bought it wayyyyy before the Base Jumps were announced. I'm still waiting for my Ballistic to come in. Ops-Core has been crazy back ordered. I've been waiting around 6 months now. I need it for some of the live fire shoot house courses I take. Currently using a MICH 2001 for those till the Ballistic comes in.
emp3ror86
UscmCorps, which BAD lever is that on your gun? Real, for WA, for WE? Edited October 29, 2012 by emp3ror86
uscmCorps
It's a real one that's been modified a little. (basically the back side behind the paddle is filed down a bit).
emp3ror86
Thanks, sadly I do not have access to rs parts. I will try to do something once with a WE version.
emp3ror86
Some information that KWA users outside the US will find valuable. KWA USA will ship parts internationally. You can only pay with credit card. They are customer friendly and fast. Contacting Defiance Airsoft is also an option as they might lead you to your local distributor. I was surprised to know that there is a hungarian one, too.
Gigueand
Has KWA announced whether or not they'll produce an M16 variant of the LM4 or the parts necessary to convert the M4A1 variant into an M16? Does any manufacturer yet produce the necessary parts to go from an M4A1 to M16? Edited November 10, 2012 by Gigueand
emp3ror86
Guarder does.
-wigs-
question, are the ksc selectors a drop in fit?
uscmCorps
question, are the ksc selectors a drop in fit? From what I understand they are. Trouble is, aside from the unlicensed BattleArmsDev. selectors by Crusader, I don't think the OEM KSC selectors are out there on the open market.
akiraspeedstar
The Guarder steel selector for the KSC is a drop in.
uscmCorps
Sorry, I keep thinking from the standpoint of ambi-selectors. Yes, the Guarder Steel Selector is a drop in.That said, since it's essentially identical to the OEM selector except made of steel, I don't personally see much value in replacing the OEM selector with the Guarder Steel selector. It doesn't enhance / change the function of the gun as far as I can tell.
-wigs-
I was asking cause in the process of getting a double switch I bought the crusader ambi selector
akiraspeedstar
Yeah it doesn't, I replaced my selector after *fruitcage* up my OEM one by adding the ambi side. Then I forgot to put locktite and lost the ambi side haha, so I just wanted a standard one.
uscmCorps
Akira, does the RS BAD selector levers work on the replica BAD Selectors by Crusader?
emp3ror86
If you can give me the measures I can check it. Edit: I installed a KSC ambi without problems. With the Crusader one will have to do some work. I wrote about it in the KSC CQB-R review thread. Edited November 17, 2012 by emp3ror86
