The Reptile House
The re-branded Celcius version is being sold at the British Airsoft Show this weekend, buy the UK distributor - so I guess their retailer will get theirs soon.
thatguy404
Is that JD by perchance?

The Reptile House
To avoid the Celcius parts, just don't use them
thatguy404
Are they any good though or is just a way to make you part with extra cash
Megalomaniac
Could any get detailed pictures of the motor? I'm trying to see if it matches who I think the motor OEM is...
LordElpus
pretty certain it's where the JG motors have disappeared to
Megalomaniac
I was actually thinking Chaoli since a PTW style motor appeared on the Chaoli website, if that is the case then they may be pretty quality, well at least the windings, of course they will still use bits of odd bric a brac as magnets... Nath
How's your DTW holding up guys. Any issues so far? Anyone put more than 1000bbs through?
1st Commando
Mine is great and has been in snow, ice ,rain and fired plenty of rounds
msx361
So Celcius or G&D?
mightyjebus
So Celcius or G&D? you notice how many CTW's are for sale in the forums? You seen any DTW's for sale in the forums?
Nath
How long is the CTW on the market? How long is the DTW on the market?
QQexDERA
kit tends to get turned over pretty quickly. I seem to remember seeing more CTW's for sale soon after release than i've seen DTW's up for sale (and thats from a cross section of forums)
Inq Eisenhorn
C'mon guys, seriously! My bet is people got bitten by the CTW gold rush and have made the simply logical leap, if CTW can't deliver a competent package, how the hell is something cheaper, which relays on a tie in with CTW, gonna be any better? My guess there's not enough been sold to warrant a second hand market flurry. Personally, I think the DTW looks , and any product that comes with spares from another company in the box, spells bad news! Even if people are drinking the coolade, and gushing all over their new (bargain basement) PTW copy, I'm gonna wait till I can afford the real thing.
Nath
Looking at Systema PTW prices I'd rather grab myself a real steel gun .
Inq Eisenhorn
Looking at Systema PTW prices I'd rather grab myself a real steel gun . Yeah? because firing real rounds at people really works well in airsoft! When are people going to realise airsoft guns don't = real guns, it's like comparing a snooker cue to racing car. Nath
I think we got a small misunderstanding here. I (and I think you too) play airsoft to have fun. And fun it is, but for me firing an AK at the range beats airsoft in terms of having fun. So if I was to choose between fun (Systema PTW) and even more fun (real steel AK) I would choose more fun . Systema PTW is a great piece of gear. The feeling, the trigger response, the bolt stop feature-that is all great, but a bit too expensive for my taste. jal3
The problem with PTW is that they're quiten often faulty and parts cost a fortune. Local warranty is nil, because the local prices are too high. With DTW and DTW parts, you get the same functionality at a price much lower. It's a lot more fun to toy around with it when a complete gearbox costs 50£ and all the parts are available for individual purchase.
