You must be a Snickers, because you satisfy me.   Marui appears to have gone through great pains to copy some of the main features of the HK416. When using the weapon these features become obvious.

Well its arrived , and is with out hesitation the best feeling AEG I've ever held ! Yes a bold statement but I really stand by it . The feel is just amazing , the weight , and just solidness to it to

Well finally got to scurmish mine today and considering its practically new out of the box and had had probably fewer than 200 BBs thought it before today , it IS the best AEG I have ever used ! The r

Hey chaps, I reckon some of you might find this thread interesting; http://arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/212354-baton-sopmod-lipo-adaptor-internally-lousy/

I would prefer to use the other adapter because it gives more space, and you can use crane stock lipos.  All you would want to do is convert the Tamiyas into Deans.

Here's a link for those wanting to get one, similar pricing to the Baton ones.

BTW, does anyone know if the Echigoya Sopmod CNC buffer tubes would be compatible with the TM HK416 stock?

(Hoping it comes back in stock soon)

Yes it's the same stock tube on the m4 next gen as the 416 next gen

I have it on mine. My only small issue is that the stock can only be moved by pulling down the positioner(like when you want to remove the stock from the tube) instead of just pushing it. This might be only happening on mine tough. On the other hand(maybe because of this) there is absolutely no wobble on the stock, and since I don't pull the stock in/out other than at the start/end of a game Im fine with that.

You know you can adjust how much the lever retracts the locking post right? After removing the stock from the stock tube, use a 1.5mm hex tool to loosen the locking grub screw on the side of the locking post's bolster at the bottom of the stock. Then put a phillips screwdriver into the stock through the hole in the top and while holding the screwdriver still, tighten the bolster until you think it should be enough to allow correct function. Test to fit, readjust if necessary etc.

No luck, with the one I had, will order a other at some point for another go. I'm told there's specific c spanners for the job. Best to check real steel websites for a tool.

I've looked on HK forums and people have managed to get their one off (real steel) with a pretty standard delta ring lock:

But I think the trouble with us is that TM's one isn't made out of steel, but probably some exotic cheese, so I should think a tool that isn't super snug fit is going to damage the holes when you exert force. I'm literally thinking about making a tool just for this at this point...

I didn't know that, thanks for the advice.

I'm one of the first persons - if not the only one - in Germany owning a TM HK416...and i can't describe how happy i am :D

Now i want to do something good for her, by adding some specials...

Has anyone of you experience with the gold stock terminals and/or the Kobayashi motor?? Do the make a big difference to the original ones?

Mine :)

The kobayashi torque motor is our of stock.

I've tried a few motors including the guarder infinite motor, marui eg3000 high cycle motor, tienly 30000 motor, and g&p m170 devil jet motor.

The g&p motor is awesome with the 7.4v lipos that I use. Next is the guarder. Those two don't suck up the battery much. They improve the trigger response significantly.

If your velocity is limited there. ..or are limited to semi auto fitter only. ..look into the guarder infinite motor as is the most cost effective improvement performance wise.

If you are using the guarder infinite motor with the stock gear set..the gun will sound smooth. You will have to adjust the set screw at the bottom of the grip.

No experience with the gold terminals.

I may attempt to install a basic MOSFET into the 416 some time...less I opt for the btc specter.

Kobayashi Torque-up Motor is in stock at Eagle6

http://eagle6.co.uk/shop/upgrade-part-s/upgrades-aeg/motors-parts/echigoya-kobayashi-torque-up-motor-long-type.html

Very impressed with mine, smooth and a quiet. I haven't used enough of the alternative motors to say it's better than X or Y but I'm happy with it.
