Pdubyuh
I have one of the original VFC 416 from before UMAREX got involved and it is very nice but I wouldn't say any nicer than my TM, since theyve been licensed maybe they have changed but the original ones are on a par I'd say. farding
So from someone who has recently joined the TM416 owners club. I have a question how do you guys Attach your Slings if you use one? i am wanted to use the madbul Asap Plate but it appears that will not fit the stock tube. Anyone have any advice of fitting it or other options? I dont trust the Plastic stock mounted sling points, already heard of someones breaking.
PureSilver
Prometheus/Laylax do a Recoil-Shock specific sling plate; there's also a replica of a GG&G one that's just been released. You can modify GBBR/RS-spec ones to fit the Recoil Shocks with a set of small files. If you do that, use some paint or similar to cover the bits you've filed down to prevent the sling plate rusting into place.
druid799
I use one of these http://www.israeldefensestore.com/opsm.html (so does my team mate stewpidbear ) . You do loose one stock notch on the tube but works fine for me . Edited June 12, 2014 by druid799
point7
does somebody know if there are any aftermarked stocks that work on the 416 ?
Pdubyuh
Most stocks fit on the stock tube but unless you've converted yours to a front wired set up it could cause issues with where to put the battery.
blobface
The TM stocks all take mil spec real steel stocks, which means most AEG stocks as well, but like said above, you'd have to find a wiring solution.
sacairsoftsn00py
I run a vfc crane stock on mine.
point7
and how did you do the battery ?
druid799
and how did you do the battery ? Like a lot of owners me and my oppo swapped the quick change for a deans so we run ordinary lipo's in them .
sacairsoftsn00py
I thought I posted a photo of how my stock is setup. Hmm...that vfc crane stock allows for an 11.1v 1200mah 25c lipo to be used. I am however only running a 7.4v 1200mah 25c lipo. Actually, I posted a video of how my gun is setup. It should be somewhere in the previous pages. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Edit: I might have posted the YouTube video on the sopmod thread. Lol. xrayhead
Nice review and defiantly pleasing to see some decent pictures that are actually in focus! The only thing that as said is a pain is the battery, if TM had designed this to perform the same as some of the high mAh battery's out there it would be very useful. Having to get conversion kits is a bit backwards IMO.
sharingan
Today I took my brand new hk416 into the fields. Range is almost 40meter with 0.25...I have experienced that the trigger is blocked once.in SEMI mode I have to switch from safe to fullauto..In addition the bolt release is not smooth -> I have to use little force and you can hear a "click" Does some have this issue? Edited August 31, 2014 by sharingan
sacairsoftsn00py
It's normal. Install a Guarder Infinite Torque Motor for improved performance with the stock marui 8.4v sopmod battery. For even better performance, rewire the gun for deans and use a 7.4v lipo. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
sharingan
so you mean that the bolt lock is normal that it is really stiff to push? my gun is brand new and never opened. I am already using 7,4V Lipo
sacairsoftsn00py
The bolt lock mechanism hooks onto the tappet plate which is spring loaded so there's resistance when you hit the bolt catch. Even with a 7.4v lipo, you may suffer lock ups on semi auto. That too is normal Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
JoCald
I only noticed lock ups on semi once I upgraded the spring, never on stock.
sharingan
lockup is also when the trigger is blocked -> is not moving a single milimeter -> look like that the gun is in safe modus
sacairsoftsn00py
That's from the cut off lever blocking the switch block. It happens. It's normal. Upgrade to a toque motor to reduce occurrence.
TheEgo
With my first generation TM Recoil (M4A1 Sopmod) I would occasionally get lock up when trying to rapidly fire in single shot. Usually nearer the end of the day. (battery getting low) Switching to full auto and giving a short blast usually cleared it, temporarily, and the rifle could continue firing in single shot. Upgrading the stock 8.4v battery to a 9.6v battery cured the problem.
sharingan
which parts (brand) would you recommend for a 400fps build?
Pdubyuh
Does anyone know if there is a guide to fitting the dytac smr rail aywhere I had a quick look but couldn't find anything for the TM?
JCheeseright
remove the old rail and barrel nut, put on the new barrel nut, attach new rail with supplied screw. 5 minute job.
Pdubyuh
Right I've got the old rail off I've cut down the gasblock now I just need to get the barrel nut off any tips or is it just an application of applied force, oh yeah and is it normal or reverse thread?
