JCheeseright
normal threading, application of force is the way forward, I used a plumbers wrench but others have used a strap wrench too, depends how precious you are about it being marked up!
Pdubyuh
I don't really mind about the TM nut you get a replacement with the SMR, I've got the normal barrel wrench but it's not cutting the mustard, cheers Mr Cheeseright I will soldier on do you recon application of a bit of heat may help ease it off? blobface
Yeah the 416 nut is notoriously hard to remove, my solution was to use a 5.5mm pin punch into the hole, it fits so snugly that it made no mark or deformation at all after I un-did it just by torquing it. Pdubyuh
Cheers guys a quick warm with a lighter and I got it off with my normal barrel wrench the new rail is now installed, it's actually very nice!!
Bastel
Hi guys, is the scar L or H hopup unit compatibel with the 416?
Richard Y
No
brock0
Trying to find a Dytac G Style SMR for my TM 416 but it's like a damn unicorn. Anyone know if the VFC model will fit?
blobface
It's possible to make a vfc handguard work with the TM, but you need to either buy a new TM barrel nut and machine it down to fit, or just have one made from scratch.
tinkle60
The impending release of the Remington handguard will most likely mean the geissele rail will cease production so the replicas from other brands will probably be the only option in future.
Pdubyuh
http://www.wolfarmouries.co.uk/airsoft/bb/search.asp?page=search&iStage=1 its wolf but that's where I got mine they have both the tan and black 10 and 12 inchers
brock0
I had tried wolf before asking in the thread - it took them over a week (and a follow up email from me) but they did finally respond and the package is on it's way.
Pdubyuh
ah coolio glad you got it sorted
Zereck
So last game the fake pin on the right side of the lower receiver fell off and only noticed it at home(I have a custom recoil weight and it shakes the gun apart slowly ). Is it possible to buy it alone or I have to buy a whole lower?
CplHicks
Is there anywhere that still has the trigger talk lipo adapter or the baton one?
Krydel
Is there anywhere that still has the trigger talk lipo adapter or the baton one? Eagle 6 has them in stock.
Pdubyuh
I'm tempted to get another, they are so useful but I'm waiting on a custom made parallel circuit to be made out of one of the blanks, cant complain as the guy offered to do it for free as an experiment but I know if i buy another he'll turn up with a fancy duel wired one! wampa
Just curious what is the difference with 416 internals and the sopmod internals? Are they fulyl 1:1 compatible? Also for the buffer tube assembly, recoil spring and rings are the same as well?
jay bee
Has anyone else had magazine feeding problems? Mine won't feed, and if I manually pull the magazine catch back the bbs don't fly out. I took the plastic inner magazine out of the metal casing and loosened the screws a little. After doing this, I was able to manually empty the magazine, but once I put it back together it's as if the outer metal case is squeezing the plastic inner too tightly so the bbs can't actually come out.. Weird, it's just out of the box
blobface
What brand BB do you use?

JCheeseright
These http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?products_id=5047 and there is your problem! You may as well be filling it with gravel, get some blasters, devil blasters or green devils.
PureSilver
Agreed - try using a different brand of BBs first. Try some Blasters - they're reasonably cheap and known to be reasonably good. If the magazine doesn't work with Blaster 0.25g BBs then there's something wrong with the magazine; if it doesn't work with Zero One's own-brand 0.20g BBs, that might only prove it has good taste.
jay bee
well, they work fine in the rest of my mags, but I'll try some other BBs.
Lewiet
+1 on the blasters I use their 0.25's in my 416 & never had any issues with them
jay bee
Just thought I'd post some pictures from my deans battery mod. First I completely removed the rails from the stock. Unsoldered and removed the rail connector, removed the spring, soldered on the wires which will run through the stock. Post the wires back through the hole in the stock where the rails used to be. Attached deans connector. I'll have to remove the connector again if I want to remove the stock again at some point, but I'm not sure I'll have much need to.
