I noticed we have a thread on "Epic Fail Purchases"  and I got to thinking:

Why not have the opposite?

Ill start it off:

Best purchases I made:

A $7 tactical belt off evike. I didnt expect much out of it, but it works great!

Another one, my KWA USP. Got the pistol pretty used about a few months ago, an it runs like a dream.

And finally, you cannot forget a P* EPAR PR-15 engine. Best investment ever.

What about you guys?

Best purchase was my real sword type 97 . Was not even looking for a gun and walk into action hobbies and sitting in a dusty box in the corner was the best gun I have yet to own . No failures , issues , problems at all . Been going strong for 3 years now on an 11.1 .and to top it all when I got it home I found it had a tightbore already fitted .and a picatiny rail ....

well, since i buy and sell my guns 3 times a month, id have to say my pair of urtactical combat pants. probably the only piece of kit i use all the time. got them at the same time crye started their public store and have performed great and hold up in the washing machine.

my best investment though is learning how to fix and modify guns. i went to collage and havnt found a job with those skills, but have been earning money on my airsoft skills since 2009.

After playing and struggling with GBBs for over a year, going back to AEGs reminded me of the real reason I play airsoft, and that I didnt need all that extra blowback jazz.

TREASON. :P

For me, it'd be...

Tokyo Marui M3S90 - 7 years old now, never a failure. I rarely use it in games as the FPS has slowly dropped, but I still use it for plinking reasonably often and it must have been racked half a million times by now.

Flyye Drop leg SEALs holster - I've had it about 4 years, it doesn't flop about on my leg, the thumb break is still crisp, and it's held up through all sorts of abuse as well as carrying everything from a G23 to an M11. Awesome holster.

Lastly, Warrior Riggers belt - I wear it every single day and have done since I bought it, I imagine it'll live longer than I do.

JG G36 in terms of 'investment'. 5 years, well in excess of 100K, was £120. all ive done to it was put a G&P M120 motor in it about 3 mins after purchase and convert to deans. oh and i replaced the hop rubber 5 days ago. its firing like a god once again.

In terms of Kit, Element surefire M951V, cost me £15. awesome torch

£5 mask, still after 6yrs hasn't had any issues.

£20 webbing, has served me a long time and never been an issue.

Buying black fleece tops from Primark. Often they cost very little yet last easily as long as a good pair of combats, they just keep me that bit warmer.

'FireKnife'

Xcortech chrono.

Dynatex grenades (got 5 kills with one blast yesterday).

Rubber knife - any time I play with it there is hilarity.

I have a feeling that in a couple of games I will be able to come back here and put King Arms Galil MAR on this list.

It is the mutt's nuts.

G&G Scar L - Probably the best airsoft gun I ever owned... and I sold it because I was poor! I regret that now! :(

Warrior PLB belt - Fantastic bit of kit. Holds everything I need and has never failed me, even after 4 years of use!

Pro Peak 2500 (I think!) charger - Only ever blown a fuse once. It's kept my batteries going for years now and won't give up.

Safariland 6004 holster for Glock 17 with M3 - It fits a Glock (obviously!), a WE XDM and also a TM Hicappa 4.3. It's also a very solid holster with a nice quick draw.

British Army pro boots - After 8 years the water proofing has finally gone from the goretex lining, plus the soles on the left boot is coming off. However 8 years with barely any maintenance is pretty damn good! I'm just annoyed I can't find any more in my size. :(

ESS V12s - never had a fogging issue, comfy for long games, easy interchange lenses. Plus they've saved my eyes on numerous occasions, without so much as a scratch.

Specialised MTB Gloves - They aren't super tactical Oakleys, but they are comfy as hell, dry quickly and protect my hands from all but the closest BB hits, great feel through them too.

TM P226R - The massive grin it puts on my face every time I fire it, coupled with its stellar performance outside during a game this weekend while it was snowing = me loving the thing. Got some Nineball routers and a Nineball hop rubber on the way for it as a little treat.

TM MK23 Socom - Just cos you have to

ICS MP5 - Still have it and still going strong
X3200 - The best chrono bar the Skan
Pro Peak 2500 / accucel 6 - The best chargers and only chargers i have ever needed.

everything else i have owned / used / sold falls below the above which is somewhat sad.

My FAL.

After playing and struggling with GBBs for over a year, going back to AEGs reminded me of the real reason I play airsoft, and that I didnt need all that extra blowback jazz.

Amen to that! Except mine is my Dboys AK, knowing you can get stuck in with out worrying about anything is a relief

Hands down best airsoft purchase I ever made:

ESS Turbofan goggles.  Haven't had a problem with fogging since I purchased them.  Every other set of goggles or glasses I have owned has always fogged.  You can't even play with fogged up goggles so these are essential.

Second best purchase - Camelbak bladder.  That thing is a lifesaver.
