christhesecond
Just bought a we f226 and the hop is so ineffective it doesn't even hop 0.20s. Any ideas please chaps? I've cleaned the thing of as much lube as physically possible and no difference. After having a look down the barrel, even on maximum hop it doesn't look to be pushing down far enough. Is this to do with the weak piece of metal that pushes the rubber down? Any help is really appreciated. Cheers guys.
Probotector
You can try extending the arm by putting a small piece of plastic (small plastic part of a Q-tip cut in half) between rubber and arm (fixing with teflon tape or glueing it on), should there be enough space. While thats a great idea im sure he wants his new gun to work without the aid of a cotton bud.. There is definatly no dirt on the hop rubber?
Baddbaz
Take it back to the shop and let them exchange or mend it ...

The small piece of plastic worked a charm cheers mate. The arm has a big gap in the middle of it and the plastic bridged that gap.

FTZ-WildeCard
well.... I stand corrected. It's a fairly common mod. Though you're right - you'd think a gun would work out of the box, go figure.
christhesecond
You'd think so but it's an awful design. The arm is way to wide for the hop window. It means that each finger of the arm presses down on the edges of the inner barrel window so the bucking barely moves. The gap in the middle would work as an h hop of the window was wide enough but it's not even close. Oh well. Disappointing but a simple enough solution in the end. Thanks for the help chaps.
