VFC UMP .45 GBB

Recommended Posts

A single stack mag is harder to load?  How hard are those spring? :o  Especially that GHK mag springs are usually pretty hard and need a while to break in.

They used 0.50mm wire for the spring which is just about as thick as TM uses... for their double stack mags. Single stack VSR-10s for example use 0.30mm wire only. Loading the UMP by hand feels like loading 8 cartridges in a 7 round 1911 magazine. Using the spring from VSR-10 mags will definitely work and fit more bbs, but I didn't find out if it had enough tension to trip the bolt stop.

Just came back from a game, it does work pretty well, although it's hardly fair as a Hong Kong winter is about 20c at the moment. Actually, did you guys get the small speed loader adapter with your UMPs? It's like a 10x10x15mm lid that goes over the mag, I found that with that adapter I was able to load the mags pretty easily, I didn't try it before and resorted to using the normal thing that swings out.

I finally got one, got it off Bunnyworkshop and they did it for a pretty good price including the top rail and suppressor, they also offered to fix all the mags for me upon purchasing them... but I am genuinely surprised by the performance, kicks super hard for such a small gun, even with the valve release set forward, wonder how well it'd work in the cold when I get back to the UK though, but all in all, I'm really happy with it so far.

I"ve heard good things about that site. But don't really know anyone that has bought from them stateside. I know they're based in china but they carter to a much highly quality product than other ACM company's correct?

I"ve heard good things about that site.

*Off Topic* Bunnyworkshop, based in Hong Kong, they mainly specialise in GBBs and custom work, they've got a mill, lathe, welder and a CNC machine on the pipeline, it's mainly ran by one guy who does most of the custom work, and 2-3 others to help him, they only really sell stuff they're interested in. They do custom kydex holster as well, I had one made for my XDM + Surefire X300, gave them the spec and got the holster in 2 weeks, fits well.

I'm starting to get interested in this gun, so I have a few questions.

1. First of all, are there any parts that tend to break really fast and need to be upgraded in order to make it skirmishable?

2. Are there any shops in Europe that have upgrades/spares for this gun? I've looked at multiple stores and I can't really find it.

3. Any upgrades that are highly recommended to enhance it's performance? I'd gladly sacrifice some recoil to make it more reliable/efficient.

I've already looked on multiple sites, but I can't find that much about the UMP. I guess the MP5 and HK416 are more popular.

Thanks in advance.

1st, your should look which seals on your magazine/magazines (look for bottom seal). VFC released enhanced bottom seal for UMP 45. Your may find it on WGC, just type in search bar "VFC UMP". This thing really help a lot! If magazine keep leak from top need disassemble and re-assemble top part of it. There is an o-ring between parts #30 and #34. I am recommend to assemble it by open stand and rotate each screw by 45 degree one by one to find best seal. Don't overtight! Your can't insert it after.

2nd, check your loading muzzle. VFC released muzzle version 2. It's have two o-ring seals instead of one and holes at the back. I am recommend to buy assembled version (it's direct drop-in), just b'coz your only have 1 ring on your default muzzle.

3rd, set recoil on low.

I am also installed Azimuth Valve (2.6mm), but not sure i am really should to do it. Your have to be sure, that default one is dead to do so.

What i am got at the end: 1. Magazine don't leak at all; 2. 380 FPS with 0,20 g BB and green gas, fast ROF and still hard kick recoil.

Sounds like it doesn't take that much effort to make it work well. Thanks a lot for the response, as you've really helped me :).

Here is small VFC manual about magazine disassembling. ;)

Also, your may install new Outer Barrel from Crusader made of steel. Another plus from it - it's have got proper markings!

But, it's almost impossible to install small part from inside outer barrel:

This part fixing in place inner barrel inside outer barrel. And the problem is - Crusader outer barrel don't have rifling inside for this part!

Solution is simple - your need small part of thin rubber hose. Cut it approx 20-30mm and stretch on inner barrel. It will fix inner barrel inside outer barrel best way.

Data for rubber hose:

Outer diameter of inner barrel: 8.50mm

Inner Diameter of Outer Barrel: 10.90mm

You may also need to fill markings on Crusader outer barrel with gold color. It will really look cool.

Ah, nice. That doesn't seem to be that hard at all. It will probably take some weeks before I'll order one, but atleast now I know how to make it work well. Thanks again.

No, not hard at all. Just need patience and proper screw driver (VFC screws are soft).

They usually don't have plans. I am asked them about MP5K, but PDW version (both: ready weapon and a kit). Same respond, no result.

If I was going to tackle the system, being the ump, I would get a cache of mags for the warm days and build an externally gassed high cap for the cold days.
