lightemup99
I've messed with a KA FAL, and while I'm not a huge fan of the ergonomics it is a cool piece. Also I believe it can be fitted with a real wood kit.
T3CH
as an update, I went with the G&G FS-51 turned up firing way hot (we don't know quite how hot, but it was clearly firing >350. well above the 328 it was supposed to be doing (according to G&G themselves) And the mag has a dodgy ratchet. still, apart from those niggles (one easily sorted) it's a very nice bit of kit, I'm impressed. They are nice aren't they If you want decent cheap hi-caps I recommend these ones http://www.airsoftsupplydrop.co.uk/store/jing-gong-g3-t3-500rds-magazine.html And running hot? Hmm mine came ootb at about 325 fps-ish.

Hmm mine came ootb at about 325 fps-ish. We weren't able to get a clear reading (the chrono was on the fritz) but it was eyeballed at around 360-370 on comparison with known guns. It was defineately running hotter than 325 (which was where it was supposed to be) Those are the mags I'm using now. although between some fiddling by the retailer (which fixed the ratchet issues, only for it to not feed right) and a bit of lube (which seems to be fixing the feeding issues) the factory mag seems to be working reasonably.
